I dunno... I've never been "dotted" by syphon to my knowledge... Is it possible that it's the only effect that doesn't leave a lasting effect and therefore isn't something you can end prematurely by rolling? Could very well make it the >best< resist.

Supposedly drains enemy health/shields and adds to your own health/shields.

If it works the same way in pvp that it does in pve, syphon is just proc'd damage of about 450 or so. Could be a pretty good depending on how many people use syphon/how much damage is being reduced/resisted or how much % chance it reduces for it being triggered on you.

EDIT: I mean this in the damage sense, because of the resistance on the shield. I'm quite aware that it syphons health and restores shields when proc'd.
