Improvement

In my honest opinion this game is very lacking in many aspects, I payed $60 dollars but I don't feel like that's what I am getting back. I know that this game is only a couple of days old and a huge patch is about a week away I don't have confidence that it will add much, or any of what this game is missing. Aside from the bugs and glitches this game is great it's fun and has a lot of potential, unfortunately I don't see myself investing the time I would spend on a regular MMO in this game. I feel that the true MMO elements will probably be released in the DLC but I am not going to pay an extra $40 for this game to be "complete." DLC should be extra not essential.

Suggestions:

1)Player hub
All MMOs have a player hub, a place where players can gather and talk, trade, make friends, goof around, or just relax. I'm pretty sure the city of Defiance will be our player hub but that's something that should be released now, hopefully not in a DLC.

2)Stronger weapons
I found it really weird that the weapon I got at the beginning of the game, the default assault rifle, is completely identical in stats to every other assault rifle in the game, the only difference being elements. I get why it's like this, you don't want new players being face rolled by veterans in PVP but this is an MMO, this isn't COD, battlefield, etc; In MMOs players progress and they get better armor, better weapons, overall they get more powerful as they advance in the game. At least make it so that a White AR is weaker than a Purple AR, or maybe increase the damage based on EGO like a 0.5% damage increase per 10 ego something.

2b)Trading
Aside from helping a friend out or if I really want those synergy boosts, there is no point in trading for a profit or at all since all weapons are identical across the board I am better off buying cheap normal gun from a vendor than trading with a player. Weapons and gear should get stronger or have a randomization to them to make them worthwhile, I should be able to find a 250 ego assault rifle and then find another level 250 ego assault rifle with completely different base stats.

3)Character growth
Except for my characters shield, the fortitude perk, temporary or circumstantial perks, and that rather meaningless little number on my top left corner my character does not grow or does not feel like it is growing. If I go from 250 ego to 260 my character is still pretty much the same except for whatever I spend my perk point in but even those effects are rather minimal. A character should grow and give the sense of getting stronger perks should be little bonuses to add to that progression.

4)Missions + MAP
I can go into any MMO and spend months and still not be able to complete every single mission, this game needs more missions a lot more, like tenfold. Unfortunately is it pretty easy to see why the map is tiny, now if I take the MAP zoom out and look around there is like 3x more space that is not available to us, if this was available to us vanilla + the DLC as areas to travel to, outside of the original map, this game would be able to match most other MMOs in size and in content. Side note I think there is going to be another terraforming event and that will expand the map.

5)DLCS
The fact that this game as an MMO has DLC is rather worrysome, that means that this game is finite, or I think it means. I hope the DLC are new areas added into the game, but the core game gets content that is free. I am not saying that I won't buy the DLC but right now I don't have the thrill that I want more, since I don't feel as if I have been given enough.

6)Miscellaneous
Way to quickly change loadouts, way to change from left and right view so I can shoot from behind cover better, an FPS switch , some pets, a job system for weapon crafting, weapon crafting, non combat mini games like racing, better ammo distribution, I cant think of anymore.

I really enjoy this game and I just want to see more from it.

I totally agree with this 100%. The quests are very uninteresting and all seem the same. The game feels repetitive
