No, the dlc shouldn't be new maps unless they are mp. This game already has an extremely small world for a MMO. Why would you block new areas from the people who have no interest in pumping more money into a barboned product aka the majority? Nobody told you people to buy season passes before you even played the game...

they have already said any new areas and content such as missions will be playable for free you just won't be able to use items and such you get insaid areas or from quests in said area till you pay for the dlc

so all you really get is items? Lol glad I didnt buy it. But we will see if there is more when it comes out.

honestly i would buy it regardless cause you never know what other stuff you get for buying it im just going off bits and pieces of what i heard

I am thinking of purchasing the Season Pass. But some points have been brought up regarding what comes with purchasing said pass as well as to what may or may not be included in future DLCs. I'll wait a bit before the first DLC comes out to find out if I want to. 20% is a big deal of savings. I plan on sticking with this game until I get tired of it. It took me a year to get over ME3MP, that was nowhere near as diverse as to what Defiance is/could be. Maybe in a month I'll make my decision as to purchasing the season pass or not.

My guess on the paid DLC would include:

1) Extra co-op missions only available for those who paid for DLC
2) Extra missions of value and importance to help expand the story, or possibly dive in to a member of the show with their own story that must be purchased
3) Access to unique vendors with vehicles, outfits, and weapons
4) A personal lockbox to store the weapons you would like to keep
5) One or two additional races to play
6) My personal favorite would be a casino of some kind to relax in and gamble your script (or bits if you're feeling lucky)

Just a few ideas off the top of my head.

why would you block new areas from the ppl who have no interest in buying the DLC.. umm because thats what ALL the other MMOs do? and you call defiance small? sure its not woW but Ive played MUCH smaller MMOs... dc universe online.. gotham, metropolis and the watch tower (if youre a hero) or the legion of doom (if youre a villain) sooooo 2 areas/cities and one hub.... off Defiance is a huge continent comapred to that

no they dont, mmo's release expanisons packs not mini dlc's, i would gladly pay for a true expansion pack, but i am not paying for dlc's which are most of the time nothing more than a cash grab.
