As a working adult who don't get much time to play, and having lost patience with the speed Blizzard is rolling out their patches (1 year still no PVP lol), and having paid for the season pass, I think I will be sticking around just a little longer, hopefully until Fallout 4.

I'm definitely in it for the long haul. The show pulled me into it. Which is impressive, since before Defiance, the last twitch game I played was Mortal Kombat: Deception on X-Box. When it first launched.

I like that I can go at my own speed. Also, I do like the horizontal progression. So, if I'm pulling 80 hours at work that week, I don't have to worry about getting left behind. I can group up with other people to fight things together, as well as fighting alongside random people. It doesn't feel so 'lonely,' if that makes sense.

Now, in 6 months, I probably won't be putting in as much time as I am now. But I have a feeling it will be something I'll do on the weekend to unwind and have fun. And really, fun is what this game is to me.

I've been playing on and off since the early launch and after roughly 50 hours I still think that I'm not even one third of the way through the available content and things to do in the game in it's current state. I'm having fun running the missions and doing the pursuits.

I'm looking forward to the TV show and the game missions that follow. I'm a big science fiction fan, so I'm in it for the long haul.

From what I can tell in these short first few days though is that they are definitely working to improve the game and there is a lot more to come in every aspect. Even being rushed though, this game is pretty amazing.
I agree some of it feels rushed but I think that is what you get when your going with as big as an idea that they are going on, I mean the game right now plays as the setup for the show and to spark more interest. Then when the show is release they have to figure out how to work it all together and get stuff out asap that have effect on one or the other. So there may be some pushing to get it out there asap but hey it isn't War Z and is no where near as bad as that rushed piece of crap scam that War Z turned out to be.

I am defiantly in it for the long run and have been since day one of alpha testing thats why I got the Ultimate Edition of the game.

Holy Maloney Batman! 50 hours already?

I got this game on release day, finished episode and main missions, and all Mount Tam and Madera side missions. Ego 450ish. only about 14 hours.

I bought this game knowing full well there could be difficulties. I intend to stick it out till things are resolved and run smoother. Either they'll fix the server issues, or enough scrubs will quit and free up the servers!

I love the game but to say Ill be in it for the long haul would be premature.

Without doing anything I would lose interest pretty quickly like with Borderlands despite loving that game.

Itll depend on how content evolves. If the dynamic part of the game which is what seperates this from games like that proves entertaining Ill play it. Its what has me hookec on the idea of this game to be honest, the potential.

Not only will we see traditional add ons and changing events but the show adds a whole other element. New missions but also a connection to something when youre not playing.

Time will tell on how these things pan out and Im enjoying playing now and as long as it stay fun Ill continue playing.
