hey was just wondering if anyone else thinks there should be a city or a town doesn't even have to be big just some where where there is lots of shops , like a outfit shop , head gear shop , mod shop ,car shop etc and just a place where every one can meet an recruit for clans and trade and so forth just cause at the moment theres no where to socialise with other players and I think this would make the game a lot better for me
Do we ever get to go into the town of Defiance? I would think that would be the perfect spot for something like that.

I agree look at most mmos Wow being the major one has these makes meeting new players and recruiting for clans easy. I would love to see the shops mentioned by a previous poster that woul be awesome as well as a auction house for weapons you dont need but someone else may be interested in buying
Defiance is where St Louis used to be. The game is in the San Francisco bay area. So unless terraforming screwed up tectonic movement and/or continents layouts, we won't get to see Defiance in the game.Originally Posted by smesmallins
Yeah A city hub would be a nice place to gather up and hang out.
Eventually Trion may add Defiance in to the game eventually in a patch/dlc as the tv show progresses.
I kinda wish there was a place for social interactions, like The Crater. We can go there but not inside, the NPCs even talk about it. I know the show isn't just about running around killing things and waiting for arkfalls to happen but why can't we have stuff to do in our down time. In other MMOs you can fish, craft, or sit somewhere and converse. I'm not putting the game down, its fun for me but MMO's are suppose to have a social aspect to it. Right now the game just feels like a single player game ported into a MMO. With voice chat broken and text chat barely working or usable no one really talks at all when I play lol. I know on the Xbox and PS3 no one really has a keyboard plugged into their machine but on the PC the text chat is the same. Its a small box that sits down there and you can barely see or even know if someone said anything. I hope they do something about it.
Yeah when I saw the crater bar I thought we would be able to have a couple of drinks with some players and doing some mini games or having a bar fight.
I know me too, or at least have some alien variant of black jack or darts. If they want us to be immersed in this world then they need to add more things. I never really played Rift so idk what exactly you could do besides going to the rift events and doing quests.
*TINY SPOILER ALERT* I'm pretty sure defiance is where you go for the last Instance IIRC. I finished the main missions a while ago lol
