My idea of a RPG is you have choices this is linear gameplay do this quest unlock this area and gain access to hotshots timetrials and sidemissions, i would call this a MMOTPS you can play alone for the most part of the game then you have multi player options with arkfalls and coop missions and ofcourse in competitive.

You're arguing the semantics of a "roller coaster" and a "sandbox" game. If you'd like to continue discussing it, we can open another thread about it.

I am not a console gamer. I've always played MMOs, largely, and a few games such as the Baldurs Gate series and Tomb Raider on my PC.

I've always used the mouse for movement and finding using WASD very hard to adapt to. But I'm enjoying the gameplay a lot and am trying to persist with adaping. However, it does make things like racing very hard. My fingers are just not trained at moving around that group of keys.

My hope is that as time goes on, the devs will be able to assess the amount of people playing per platform and direct resources to improving the experience on the most popular. After the tv series releases, I'd be very surprised if the PC platform was less than second, if not first in popularity. I'd like to see the option for an MMO-style keybinding. At the moment, it's not worth rebinding all my keys and settings as they don't stick.

In regards to other MMO features, such as social hubs, a good chat system, trading and/or AH, I think it would be a mistake not to offer those. These are features that breath life into a persistent world.

I think the game has social hubs, which are the primary questing locations. However, the chat system has created a less than savory perception of that.

The game does have trading, though from what I've seen many weapons are non-tradeable due to being obtained from quests, etc.

I've never seen an AH as necessary in any game, especially a game such as this with such horizontal progression. However, that's something I think it would take a community response to gauge.

This game has never been marketed as a mmorpg. I don't understand why people buy it and then complain that it's not something it never claimed to be.

It's pretty simple to most people, if you couldnt group in the non-instanced world and people doing objectives around you didnt contribute towards your completion then it would just be a bad single player game.

That doesnt meet the definition of a social hub though, players will not go back to the questing locations once they've done the content there. A social hub is where people go to do social things without progression, trade, arrange groups, do vendor things, crafting, at all levels. This has nothing like that, someone could be trying to sell the exact thing you need but you'd never meet them.

Trion will not take the time from their busy shedule to answer your rant. Contrary to what your mom says, you're not special.
