    dps rough testing

    Okay so this simple this is me taking the information off weapon stats and putting them into spread sheets.
    I do test some weapons like burst because there rate of fire is difference.

    A few things to note
    * As far as I can tell the Saw light machine gun is the best weapon in the game. it has range and close burst.
    this makes sense because you to sacrifice movement speed.
    * The SMGs are the best close range weapon. but the shotgun can beat it with some perks.
    * explosives are very tricky to calculate I really need to do another spread sheet for them. I basicly averaged them in this which it wrong but nvm its rough. also explosive do even more dps but since they have low ammo I will not count them.
    * shotguns have the highest rate to trigger nano-effects(like fire) because each shell it one roll to trigger.
    * snipers have the lowest dps over all. again makes perfect sense because of there high burst.
    * assault rifles make good all round weapons or great secondary's.

    Over all this is a well balance game in terms of the guns.

    I have a Green FNC SAW LMG or something and it is pretty good.

    Pretty sure your results for the VOTAN Blaster-Rifle are way off. Do you realize that for each trigger pull, it shoots THREE 40-dmg rounds*? Not just one. It only uses ONE bullet though. Check the spread against a wall. Heh, everyone always looks at the number 40 and just dismisses this AR. It's /awesome/ for close-to-medium-range running-and-gunning. Whereas the "regular" (G36 look-alike) seems much less accurate on the move (less ROF and 1 chance per round for bullet to hit target vs. 3 with the Blaster Rifle), while zoomed/crouched the G36 gets the slight edge. IMO, the Blaster fits my play-style more, as I like to stay very mobile. The "G36" seems more suited to those who like to ADS and go for criticals all the time, etc. The Blaster type also allows for 3x the chance for nano effects to trigger; more actually, considering the ROF is higher.

    *If you add a +Aim/+Hip-fire damage mod, the /individual/ pellet damage increases as well. Then it would be (for example) 44 x 3.

    That said, you should probably adjust the DPS numbers for the Blaster and perhaps make a note that it has an increased chance of nano effects proccing vs. other ARs.

    Also remember that SMGs and Shotguns have a much higher rate of "fall off damage" vs. Assault Rifles, Snipers, etc. (not sure about the SAW, haven't used one - someone chime in here).

    So, while raw DPS is nice, you can't really make a "this gun is the best" claim, because it's all situational and play-style/skill is also a factor.

    Semi-Auto: Single fire only. 20 round magazine and a built-in (cannot remove entirely) scope.

    If I come across one of this guns ill check it again. Generally if its burst fire you half the fire rate but I need to check it.
    I honestly don't know how to do this properly because of the gun leveling system. maybe when I get everything to 10 I will do a proper one with all the guns. They need a bank system to.
    Also who knows a wiki might record all the guns then it will make my spreadsheet easier to manage.
