ok.. let's chew this apple one bite at a time:
PC gaming is "on the way out".. hmm.. odd then why there's an average of 12 to 15 COMPLETELY NEW games released specifically and only on PC's every year for oh.. the last decade or so. Yeah.. oh yeah.. that's a sign of being completely obsolete..
Too many cheaters on PC? Man.. what games are YOU Playing on consoles? There are TONS of cheaters in EVERY platform. Anyone remember finding the invisi-creases in Halo to frag from a completely hidden and protected position? Oh wait.. that was only on consoles right?...
And I can't speak for the "steam" service.. I've never used it. I always get my games directly from the publisher/manufacturer of the item. TO me.. what amounts to "renting" a game is about the same as renting a girlfriend... sure it's all fun and games for awhile.. but eventually, all you have is memories to hold. And just an FYI.. I paid the same amount for this game.. the FULL GAME, not some steam rental or whatnot.. as you did for you Xbox version. And as for my internet going out, limiting my play time.. hmm.. yes.. I can see you are the be-all-end-all in PC knowledge base aren't you? (psst.. I'm running games on my LAPTOP that haven't had a server from the manufacturer in over 10 years for communities of players...)
