    PVP Based on EGO Rating

    If they do this they could probably change the way the weapon system is. Instead of weapons having the same amount of damage no matter what level that weapon is. If you find the same weapon you are using but with a higher level that does a little bit more damage it would encourage people from using the same weapon throughout the game and make them want to look for new gear.

    i know for the non-PvP stuff that weapons level up...and every weapon you level up counts toward your overall weapon level... I maxed out 4ARs now so my AR efficiency(sp) is higher.. you get little boosts every level.. is there a different ego rating system for PvP? like do you start at 0 and work your way up? also i think that the reason the weapons damage stuff doesn't change much is their way of keeping things balanced out.

    it would have been cool if each zone had a EGO rating requirement but that would take the OPEN WORLD out of the game, which i personally wouldn't mind. not saying i hate how the game is just speaking my mind.

    i know what your saying skill based match making does make sense and i think its something that needs to be looked in to

    honestly if they just made objective gametypes that involve more than just killing then I know I wouldnt care if weapon progression made higher lvl people overpowered because it would require more than just killing to win. I like the 16v16 domination type but they could do a capture the flag and a bomb planting type aswell which would be awesome.

    pvp(instance based) is based on EGO rating. Shadow War isn't.

    there is capture and hold, unfortunately they had to disable the map due to a game breaking exploit on it.

    Not trying to be rude but if that is true then why make weapons have the same amount of damage no matter the level, if they put you up against people around the same level as you why do they keep saying they did the weapon system like this to keep things balanced? Thnx for the reply.

    for shadow wars. also, pve isn't to terribly hard to require weapons to do tens of thousands of damage per shot. The devs wanted the game to be focused less on your gear and more on how you built your character. IE A person with only ego 50 stands as much a chance to succeed in pvp as someone ego 2500. Its more about skill, and finding what suits you and less about finding that OMGWTF Shotgun that can kill a progenitor in one shot.

    Doesn't mean there aren't going to be overpowered weapon types, launchers, shotguns with cloak, fully auto infectors, more launchers. People will always find a way to be cheap.
