    A few questions about Synergy mods and weapons

    1. Does the weapon have to have the same synergy as the mods for them to work?
    - Example: A sniper rifle from one of the faction vendors has the Scavenger synergy on it. Can I put any mod into it and get the bonuses or do they have to be the Scavenger synergy mods?

    2. If they do not have to be the same on the weapon and the mods, can you install 2 synergy mods of one type and another 2 of a different synergy mod and get the effects of both lvl 1 and 2 of the synergy?
    - Example: A LMG with 2 Scavenger mods and 2 Outlaw mods will give it:
    [1] 1.5% Health Regeneration(Outlaw)
    [2] After Shield Breaks, Your Next Shot Is Doubled in Damage(Outlaw)
    [1] 1% Item drop on crit kill(Scavenger)
    [2] 2% Item drop on crit kill(Scavenger)

    3. If the weapon has the same synergy as the mods, do you get the bonuses for both?
    - Example: The sniper rifle with the Scavenger synergy if fitted with the Scavenger mods would have combine stats of:
    [1] 2% Item drop on crit kill
    [2] 4% Item drop on crit kill
    [3] 10% chance for nano effect
    [4] 20% chance for nano effect

    im wondering the same - not sure hwo it works yet - des the weapon that has synergy listed actually get those bonuses or they only "activate" once you add matching mods to it?

    So moddign a weapon without synergy would be a waste?

    Exactly. Really wish they would put out an in depth instruction manual for this game.

    I'm wondering as well, great question. If it wasn't for the internet I don't think anyone would know how to play this game.

    Been wondering the same myself...can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

    Trion need to release a proper video or manual explaining synergies properly, for the uninitiated they are a complete nightmare and a bloody pain in the arse to explain as well!

    It wouldn't be as bad, if the lock box "synergy mod cache" gave out more variety. I get Brutal synergies 99% of the time, it needs fixing to give more variety regularly. That way we could have at least a better chance at trying to mod with the synergies. Just have the slow wait of grinding for a faction weapon and mod instead

    I read in another post that if a weapon comes with built in synergy, like the purple ones you see at faction vendors, then any mod you put in will activate them. The synergy mods you get from lock boxes are for weapons that dont have built in synergy.

    See...and that is NOT what I have been reading and it seems that the consensus is that Synergy Mods HAVE to match Synergy ready weapons. So far it seems like the idea here is, "Look, here is a weapon that can potentialy regenerate it's own ammo.""Why doesn't it do it then?""Because...Before yon weapon can achieve such power, it must be made whole...thow must questeth for the correct pieces!""REALLY?! This weapon SUCKS!"..."Do not forget...You MUST speak the words Clatto, Verata, Nicto...else the mods will not work and be useless to us.""I got it I got it!"

    I thought it worked like - you have 4 synergies and each matching synergy mod unlocks 1 of the effects.
