Legendary Ark hunter PSA

Hello everyone that cares to look at this I have seen for some time people have wondered about the Ark hunting way of life III pursuit and I'm here to tell you I think we finally found out what resets the counters currently at this time.

Now by no means is this definitive though we ( my self Cohh and you viewers of Cohh's stream shameless plug-in http://www.twitch.tv/cohhcarnage )

1. We have found that when you go down AND release out of your down stats it will take away a large amount of your kills from the major ark fall counter in Ark hunting a way a life III. Our misfortunate friend Ross had the joy of finding this lil part out for us. Pleases everyone a moment of silence for Ross's sanity.

This includes but not limited to death in PVP be it shadow wars or waterfornt/ observatory. Death in Co-op missions or just death PERIOD

2. We also found out that it SEEMED to reset after 12 AM CST. Cohh was streaming when it hit that time and went from 1,600 kill to around 100 something. We have NO idea why is happened but it happened to several others attempting this goal yesterday.



For all of you crazy enough to attempt thiswhile it is set up the way it is some helpfull tips from a fellow ark hunter that has finished this insatnity!


1. I'm sorry to say but for all of you complaining about people killing the skitterlings your gonna have to hush up at this time. The BEST places to work on this are at the hell bug ark falls with the objective of destroying the crystals as it will continue to spawn them and well if your the only one or one of the few there you can easily rack up per major ark fall around 200-300 kills. My best was 400 when like no one was on.

SO I say sorry to all of you that will now hate me for telling people if you want this goal completed murder ALL the skitterlings.

You can also use scrapper ark falls where you need to kill the three shield generators before you can kill the middle one as they do also spawn an infinite wave of lil scrapers that are easy to kill.

2. For getting your 100 revives in a major ark fall well boys and girls detonators are your new friend find a few people gather them at the ammo resupply blow your self up get ressed wash rinses repeat. This took out group around well I'd say 7-8 major ark falls to complete while everyone else killed the boss.

NOW for those of you say oh ey that's exploiting stop right there. I have tried for the past few days to res people are ark falls but when I get half way ressing them they self revive... so you can just stop right there. People make this part hard not cause I or my group didn't try



So recap

1.you can't die like EVER so if you want to pvp don't try starting this and honestly you shouldn't die while doing this

2. Kill everything regardless of what the objective is people can still finish by just shooting the crystal ya it takes longer but what can you do?

3. Start a cult and join in with the ritual suicide for your buddies

4. Start attempting this EARLY in the day from what we have found it resets at 12 AM CST

and if you do everything i said here and have been lucky enough to get kill shots you will achieve glory !



( Working on getting a screen shot of the proof that this has been done. I by no way claim to be first or anything like that just showing you all that if you are crazy and are a bit masochistic it can be done in it's current state.)

Good job on figuring out what caused this, I am sure it has saved people alot of grief, I was fortunate to be able to complete this pursuit without dieing once.

Also while killing skitterlings is definatly the easiest way, be respectful when doing it, if you choose that route.. If there is a major arkfall going on and people is trying to complete it move on when others show up.. Farming a uninhabited one however is completly fine.

Completed my legendary arkhunter last night, did a big majority of it completly legitly (got a little help for the last few revives, people use self revive way to quickly in arkfalls) , which in hindsight might've been waste of time, oh well. Keept me busy

Personally I found the Outfit reward to be sorely disapointing.. I don't mind reskins, but for such a massive undertaking it was quite underwhelming.

Honestly, there is a special circle of hell for people who kill skitterlings during major arkfalls where you have to destroy the crystal. "oh this is gonna take forever best farm/boost the hell out of it"

Yeah there is really no reason why you would need to do this on a crystal that is currently being attacked.. If you really want to resort to farming skitterlings get on late night, and find one that isnt being taken down.

Its one thing to do this when it affects no one, its a entirely diffrent thing when it has a negative impact on others players gameplay.

Also acceptable would be to do minor arkfalls, less people go to them(unless it's the only one active)

relativly certain it only updates inside major ones though, then again I never tested, just assumed based on the text.

Yes it is only major ark falls. I mainly was able to go to the ones that had no one in not how I got around 200-300 per major ark fall and such. Though I do no condone driving your car around during them one you are losing out of exp for ego I mean if your gonna kill skitterlings shoot them at least

Actually it is not ok to do it at minor arkfalls but you can farm all you want at the rampages that are set up with hellbugs
