I beat him after a couple of attempts, with the last attempt finally understanding the strat. I would recommend patience while doing it, as well as equipping a good Assault Rifle!

Hate this Boss. Shields are ridiculous, and unless you have a single shot, high accuracy weapon (i.e single shot AR/etc) its near impossible to hit the Smelters tank (w/out finishing them off completely). I gave up last night and started drinking. :/

I was using OC

I was using the double-tap sniper rifle. Seemed to work. Altho, sometimes, I would accidently finish them off. Oops. xD

I got through it pretty easily. If you have the pistol flare gun type it's no problem.

Beat him first time, using a shotgun and smg with the blur effect. Not too difficult really.

This guy was really really easy. I used an AR and overcharge and got it done first try. What I did was kill the enforcers as they spawned, then when the smelter came out I let him shoot me with the fire, stepped to the side and blew a hole in its tank. Unload on Jackleg rinse and repeat.

It was more frustrating than hard. Just couldn't figure it out at first and two times when i got him to jump down he killed me right before he died with his stupide grenades. How much further til I can cross the bridge to san francisco?

Would of had him the first time, but a very good barrage of grenades got me. Second time I nailed it using a semi auto assault rifle, but the real challenge was when he jumped down and starting derping grenades everywhere lol... I thought it was a good challenge for a boss fight.
My only real gripe was a slow-down in fps, but that was all she wrote.

you can drop him really fast with a lmg with good dmg. cloak behind smelters and then unload on him.

Its also easy to just melee them as they come around the corner of the cover you can hide behind. The immediately fall to their stomach then just pop em with a single shot on the back.
