I hate clans

I have played a few browser games before where there ends up being one clan millions of points above the other and just dominate everyone else. Defiance it seems has no such thing, so you don't have to worry about a bunch of angry pre-pubescent kids just annihilating you because they have nothing else to do in the real world.

while i played xbox, i found a majority of players i came across were either casual older gamers, or fanatical younger/whiny gamers.

that is not to say ALL the people i came across were, just most. and so my friends list last i checked had like 30 people on it, because i dont need to ever join up with little kids to have fun.

on PC, you will find many of the outfits recruit 18+ simply because they cant stand, like you, the little kids, whiners and plain idiots. outfit i played BF2, WoW and recently planetside 2 with are all guys basically over 30.

so by saying you hate ALL clans/guilds/outfits (w/e you want to call them), you really are limiting yourself, especially on xbox where you can only have so many people on your friends list. find a bunch of guys you enjoy playing with and make a clan and then you can dictate who can join until you basically just have "a few buddies to game with" instead of a formal "clan"

I have met quite a few wonderful people here :3 and I have seen very powerhungry people in this forum as well, and clans I can predict will fall faster than an arkfall after the release.

I'd say too you just haven't found the right crowd yet. surround yourself with people you are having fun with.

We are merely a group too, a group with a name, a clan. Whether a clan sets up rules will be entirely up to the founder.

I always play with clan. We have no screamen kids. We are well diciplined, same clan plays together in many games, it has nothing to do with skill level of players but all to do with social aspects and team work. Understood its not for everyone, if you prefer to loan wolf it thats fine, but in a game such as MAG, teamwork is the only way to stay competitive. KEQ was and still is the largest most dominant clan in MAG. In defiance we have around 40 active members if someone wants to play co-op, PvP or just needs help with anything they jump in clan chat and its done. I see no downfall.

I've played with the same gaming clan since roughly 2003 through trying many different games. Unfortunately I don't expect any of them to land here, though I may not either in the long run. We'll see!

That stinks there's nothing like gaming with ppl you enjoy playing the game with and you cant beat that experience. I wish you the best of luck convincing your friends to join Defiance! If they dont maybe you can make some new friends here.

Well you can still be in said guild and still be in that tight group of friends but some people just like having the options within a guild in case your group gets into a fight or whatever then you can talk to other people in that guild/clan.

But based on what you gave us in your OP it seems that you just have not found the right group of people or maybe the game you are playing with all these people bring out the worst in them.

Have you already talked to your friends in that clan?
