How they handled downed players is a little baffling to me (and I don't mean that with any ill intent). The reason I say this is because I remember attending an Arkfall a couple of days ago that was near a random side event. The side event had to deal with helping out some AI controlled characters that were being attacked by raiders. When the AI controlled character went down, an emblem popped up over her head (believe it alternated between a shield and an exclamation point). I thought this was something that had been patched in so I dash over to pick the person up...only to be decimated by Archer missiles. No one came to pick me up. I have to assume that it was because I couldn't be seen, and that's where the aggravation comes in to play. If you can have an emblem over an AI character that denotes a downed state, why can we not have one for player controlled characters? I have a usb keyboard that works really well and I can't even pop into the chat box for two seconds to type "Help" when I'm down? Just if they do go that route it needs to be an Icon that is visible when aiming down the sites as well. Could be that alot of us that do get downed get passed over because everyone is busy aiming at the enemies they are shooting at. I have every faith that we as a community have griped enough (I don't mean to make it sound so...childish?) that Trion has heard though. I haven't seen anything yet to make me feel otherwise.

As far as the communication in the game, it is getting better I think. I was able to get over myself enough last night to use my keyboard a few times and was pleased to see a quick response. Granted, it was nothing more than a Ty for being picked up or helped out but the fact I was responded to quickly (that's the key) is promising. I think it's as has been stated. Perhaps there are more of us that are unfamiliar with this type of game than those who are. But people are adjusting. Another prime example is the fact that people are getting use to seeing the chat box now. How many times when the game first launched did you see "ammo SE" or something to that effect and not see any reaction. Now if it gets mentioned at an arkfall there's a line of purple dots streaming over to the ammo dump. Small steps folks. Got to gain strength in the legs and then we'll be able to run with it...ya know?

I wouldn't say Xbox community is like that alone, many other MMO games have had same type of players.
But like stated by others here, for some people this is their very first MMO and it is quite easy to forget that while playing.

As for the hanging around; I usually do that too if I have to go to toilet or something, I won't log out for that.

Community is improving tbh just a lot of people tend to ****ing moan than actually talking to people in towns or ark falls and so on. Get a chat pad it keyboard plugged in your Xbox. Start asking for groups.... gaming 101 tbh

I agree. I revive anyone I see that's downed near me. Problem is, I don't always see them. I've had instances where someone in my group goes down and I can't even find them despite being in party chat lol.

When I get the game and start playing, ANYONE I see fighting/Dying or even standing still doing nothing....is going to get BMG'd. ^~^

I got thanked quite a few times in the Beta's for stopping and helping. I honestly don't mind taking some of my time to help others. If only more people were helpful. :/
