well seeing as how Trion said it is a mmo shooter and not a rpg....

Doesnt matter what someone says, actions speak louder than words. I log in and the focal point of the game is for me to roleplay n arc hunter in a deep story line that will effect the future of the game. This is a bigger RPG than any game out. In the fact the role i play in this game is truly going to effect it for years to come(if it makes it that far)

If all the future released content is more STORY driven and progression based than it is focused on adding to the shooting aspect of the game....youll see what their focus is.

Where does Tetris say im playing the role of someone? Or are you just assuming that? If so you are assuming more than anyone who thinks defiance is an rpg. Especially since defiance clearly is....even its revolutionary idea is 100% rpg related and not in any way shape or form related to its TPS aspect. The whole idea of what i do in the game effects the future story thing...please tell me NO BRO THATS THIRD PERSON SHOOTER STUFF! Actions speak louder than words, you can market a game however you want but in the end its foundation/storyline/progression/revolutionary idea/competition/focus/NPC characters/Playthrough and on and on and on is all an rpg format. People need to quit insisting this game needs to be more like World of Warcraft.

This is not the same genre of games. Yes it is massively multiplayer. But it is a third person shooter. If we are going to compare this to anything lets compare it to APB. To me this game is closer to APB than any other game.

MMOTPS....not MMORPG. Get it right. Its like me saying NBA2k13 needs to be more like Halo 4

If anything...Defiance is the greatest MMOTPS game ever made. Who can compete? APB? Psh...

Atleast APB had a decent chat system. This feels like a singleplayer game if anything. Without any communication this game suffers badly.

Why it is so hard to chat with people is beyond me! I think Trion design/development just sucks.
