    Sniper Rifle Accuracy Varies Wildly

So, as the title states, the accuracy of sniper rifles while scoped in varies so wildly. Very very very few even hit where they are actually aimed. Often times you have to aim above your designated target area, or below it, and it can just swap high or low randomly on the same weapon. I HAD a favorite sniper rifle till it disappeared, and I'd considered adding a scope to it, but I was afraid I'd just end up messing with it's hit registry also.

Is there any plans to fix this?

Never had to aim higher, but I do have to aim lower at the throat to get headshots because straight head shots don't always work.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Noticed several of the vendor-sold rifles had a "-0.30 Accuracy" on them. Like it was some sort of buff, lol.

The stats on weapons can be very deceiving. I bought a SAW with -.3 accuracy, expecting that to mean the Bloom ie. weapon reticle spread would be lower, therefore easier to hit things with sustained fire, but boy was I wrong. I've had to basically just stick to using my Plague Bringer sniper rifle from Amazon since it seems to have fine hit detection, till I upgraded to a bolt action rifle that has the normal starting sniper rifle look of a wooden hunting rifle. They seem to be pretty dead on also, but it's since just disappeared.

Every snipe rifle i used had 100% zoomed accuracy. Only issues are lags.

You'd definitely be in the minority then, since all my friends have also reported these issues and I've seen more than a few threads about it also, but I haven't seen any dev responses acknowledging it. Consider yourself lucky.

There's only one raider mob that I've had to aim at the throat for, the ones with the solid facemask with green "stripes." I don't remember what their called. Anyway, the Blitzer types I usually try to hit in the eye of their pro-masks. Sometimes, when the rocket guys are bent over reloading their launcher, I shoot them in hair, but it misses.

    I use a bolt-action Sniper.

Yeah, I've predominatly played sniper right back since playing in the Alpha test.. and I can definitely say the hitboxes are a bit screwy sometimes. Nothing to do with lag or anything, I've sat with X-hairs dead centre on a perfectly still (out of combat) target's face and missed, can even repeat the same miss on the same target sometimes as they're not even aware I shot at them...

Too many times have I went to shoot a lone raider just chilling there and miss completely, despite the crosshairs being right in the middle of his head. Either there's some server lag going on all the time, despite my ping and latency staying in the green or the hit boxes are kind of borked.

Have this happen all the time, by the time I get the third shot off, they all come running with guns blazing, haha.

Oh, yeah, there's definitely some latency issues. I see it all the time with the guys teleporting around and shots that should have hit, missing.
