Are you still getting Critical Errors when trying to launch Defiance?

have him try to log in to both eu and na servers and check his trion worlds account to see if his game has been activated properly

He logged into Trion and everything seems normal. He has 500 more points than I do. He has tried reinstalling through Steam and directly through the Trion website. I don't think that he would have been able to download the game directly from Trion or make it to 1900 some points without an activated game. He logged out and quit playing one night and couldn't play again the next day. He says he loaded into an EU server but the tutorial loaded up empty. No bad guys or quest after the opening movie. Yet I can load up my character with no problem at all on the same computer, under the same Windows profile.

Canada - and i play on pc..just today it started happening i cant log in.....please fix thisssssssssssssssssssss!!! Like as soon as possible

My brother did the online chat. They were able to fix his account and he is finally back in game.

Frustration is having two Pc's side by side. My gaming box and my utility box. Both with fresh installs of Windows 7 and setup with the same security settings.

My utility box runs Defiance fine. My gaming box...... Critical Server Error. ACCCCCCCCCCK!!!! Trion! Fix this issue!!!

The only way for me to play is to lower my firewall to minimal security and then after the game starts up put it back to standard.

I'm getting the critical error and my information is as stated in the workaround. Today is the first time I've tried playing since launch as I have been unavailable.

Is there any further information available as of now I have a product I cannot use.

I was playing the game fine on Patch 1.012. I had the manditory patch to Patch 1.013 and ever since I have not been able to connect. I had absolutley no issues prior to this patch. I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on a fast Intel Quad-core pc. I have made no changes to my PC or router prior to this issue occuring. The one variable I've seen is Patch 1.013 and the NA Server maintance they performed today (2 May) at 12:00 PST. Now they're performing "Emergency NA Server maintenance" so I hope this means they've figured it out. I've seen in this thread that some people are able to get through to the EU Server. Where do we go to change from the NA server to the EU server?? Anyone know??

I hope I didn't waste money on a Beta platform being passed off as Main Run Program.

Just go to the options on the launcher and it will have you pick NA or EU
