I've done a lot of arkfalls and to be honest I don't see the problem. I'm not trying to be rude, I just have yet to be even slightly annoyed with a vehicle.

Vehicles should definitely be dealt with. I don't think you can ban them in the Arkfall area because other people who are not participating may need to drive through. There is an issue there. I think they have all been mentioned.
#1. The vehicles do kill the skitterlings. I hear the vehicle advocates saying that this is a complaint from a whiner, but honestly....They say there is not way that the vehicle can get all the skitterlings, which is correct. However the difference between playing in an Arkfall w/ the vehicles as opposed to those without is stark. There definitely are many more wounds on the crystal when there is no vehicle driving around on the skitterlings
#2. It is quite annoying!!
#3. It takes no skill to drive in a circle killing things with a car, truck, or suv however someone will inevitably end up on a leader board for doing so.
Just fix it to where people get significantly less damage, and kills when they choose to combat this way. Worst case, the vehicles will come in and then choose to actually fight eventually.
While I would like vehicles despawned near all the crystal events (save for the hellion area), I doubt Trion will remove them.
The best option left is to let the drivers fiddle with the crystal and find a different one to destroy. You know how easy it is to solo crystals? All you need is an LMG (for bite areas) and an infector (for pesky warriors/archers), and you'll destroy them easily.
