News and Announcements & Patch Notes

I don't know what happened, but the News and Announcements section is no longer available on the forums. This would seem to me an ideal place to post patch notes, server status updates, promotional items, etc. I also notice that there appears to be a news and announcements section for the German and French sections. It seems odd that they would have this section but the English users don't.

On patch notes, I am wondering if those will be posted on the forums or somewhere else like on the blog.

Server status section in the first part of forums
