Bonus Item Level?

So I got these pre order and season pass goodies and notice they show "---" for the level. The items are pretty good when you first start but, quickly become obsolete.
My question is, do these items scale with your level or anything? Are they worth holding on to? …Or did they just give us a bunch of bonus items that are pretty much useless?

They're good and because of how the games weapon system works you can hold onto them forever if you'd like and they'd still be good. Its up to you if you want to continue using them if you want.

except for the part where you wont be getting any more weapon skill points by keeping them

I guess what I’m trying to ask is... Aside from upgrades and maxing out the weapon xp. Do any of the item stats every increase?
It just seems to me if it shows no level, they may scale and increase as you level in the game. I’m up to just over 200 with a couple of my toons, but so far have not noticed any stat increase with these items.
