Will Defiance have any chance of survival once Destiny comes out?

Seriously, staying on topic. Will this game have any chance once, *insert* (game here) comes out.? This game has been bleeding out since launch. You notice how respectable review sites waited a couple, 2-3 weeks to release their reviews out of respect for Trion. The cash shop is only going to bring in loot from suckers, i'm sorry. and even they will get bored and see the shortcomings of this game. They lost a huge chunk of bored gamers, waiting for the review sites to post, don't kid yourself. They need to do something and now. Read these threads. Potentially sick games are about to drop before destiny bro, they need to think about that

You won't need to buy Destiny again. It'll be out months after the new consoles, so just have a next-gen console already purchased. As for Defiance, the point of buying it again is to have far better performance in the game due to upgraded hardware, among other potential benefits depending on what Trion decides to do. Not to mention, sixty dollars isn't much to ask for seeing as how this game doesn't have a subscription fee.

I meant I could see buying Destiny for a new console, not buying it a second time. How little faith you have supporting your reading comprehension.

Season 1 of Defiance is arguably ~ 12% completed come tomorrow and besides the prologue, there has not been any real tie in or world development. Actually, since it came already in game and then was removed I guess a pessimist could say that the game only got smaller but I digress. $60 to play the same exact game but with pc level graphics? Really? I just don't get that.

Odd question. If they were released on the same day Destiny would attract a much larger audience because Bungie have a massive following. I genuinely doubt there will ever be another Defiance game. I hope I'm wrong because it had some good ideas. I think people are already moving on. I have about 8/9 people on my Xbox friends list who bought the game. I haven't seen any of them playing it in the last week. I got to about lvl 500 then stopped because the missions were terrible and I couldn't stand another arkfall. I'll pick it up again a few months down the line. Hopefully it will have improved with dlc but if I put it on and see another go there, press x then shoot waves of bullet sponges. It will go straight into the bin

You really want to check back each week for the next ~5 months. Trion might randomly put in more content that will get yanked back out in a week.

destiny is console only so it wont affect Defiance or any other game that has a PC play option, especially since there are more PCs in the world and more PC gammers as vs console gammers

There are not more PC gamers than console gamers, otherwise there would more focus on PC game development versus console, and sales charts would be telling a different story. Also, the traditional PC is fading away. Tablets, Smartphones and Netbooks are replacing them in the average household.

Edit: I haven't looked into Destiny much, but something to consider is that it's going to be on next gen consoles while we don't know for a fact if Defiance will run on the next gen consoles. I don't see myself keeping my 360 just to play Defiance.

what I'd really like to see is a proper town and better characters. Also hidden chests and stuff that would give people a reason to explore the maps. Better vehicles and customisation.Maybe that'll happen next year.

The hell are you talking about? I'm talking about the topic at hand. It's perfectly constructive. Defiance will of course stand a chance, because they are completely different games and will be available for a long time to come.
