I concur with the original posters conclusions, but not necessarily with their desire to spread these sentiments. It is mean spirited and cruel. Anyone who had a modicum of experience with this genre of game. Knew from the very outset. That this game was going to be both shallow and short. In other words while some may have been open to the possibility that it could be better then it appeared. We knew what we were most likely to get out of this game.

The original poster is just being a spoiler. Congratulations you have figured out that this game has a maximum of about a hundred hours of content. That isn't any reason to undermine the experience of players that are at level one hundred. You can't possibly be disappointed purely from a value point of view. While it is small for the genre. It is pretty big as far as consoles are concerned. People are going to get their moneys worth. I am not too sure Trion is going to get its moneys worth.

This is less revelation then it is confirmation. Saying these things only depresses those that are still enjoying the game. You and I may know how it will end, but why say things that will ruin their enthusiasm. What do you go tell two years old that Santa isn't real. Of coarse you don't. You let them have fun with their fantasy. You weren't wronged. If you got as many hours as dollars spent. You should be satisfied. Considering that well over ninety percent of titles on the market cannot even deliver that.

no , the game is a blast . The only gamers that get bored fast are the ones that get games they are not really interested...just got the game to please friends...so if you are one of those gamers next time buy only the game you are really insterested and boredom will never be by your side when playing games.

I don't know people that mindless to throw 60$ away on something just to please friends. People bought this game looking for the MMO progression and instead got, "Welcome to Defiance, level 100's have the same guns as level 1000's."

Been playing it at a 4hr clip daily myself, still feel there are tons more that I have not done. From what I gather is it seems there is no progression once you hit max, which seems disappointing. The key to keeping an active player base is (aside from dlc's, new pvp, etc) a form of instanced progression or even gear based upgrade grinding. Wow does that in spades but even then, gets boring very,very quickly when your running the same raid to get a piece of gear that has a 1.3% chance of dropping over and over again. Id say anyone who dropped 100hrs into a game on launch week has every right to be bored. I don't care if its wow, skyrim, gw, or gta, 100hrs is a 100hrs and that my friends is a lot of time to spend in a game in one week. All the power to them for having the time, and I do understand their point of "what now" because in reality there just isn't anything left that interests them and there is no point in gear grinding unless you feel the urge. Heres hoping that trion makes spending a 100hrs in game and reaching max a worthwhile thing, otherwise like others have said your looking at a 20 ton whale carcass washed up on the beach with only the vultures left picking it to pieces.

Bored? No, not yet. However, there doesn't seem like a lot in place to hold me after I finish the story and mess around with PvP for a little while, even though that feels a little broken right now. There really is no progression in the game, so after that initial disappointment has worn off, I am content to have some fun for a while. Playing with friends is fun.

Games like this need something to do after the story fades or to fill in the gaps...play PvP for better PvP weapons or rankings...play Co-Op for better drops...explore every aspect of PvE (races, hotshots, rampages) for higher EGO, etc. None of that really exists (increasing your EGO has very little impact on the game), so long term it can't help a game of this nature. Love it or hate it, but MMOs are directly tied into getting better toys or outfits or gear or abilities to show off to other people you have never met and ideally kill them in PvP or work together as a team to kill something stupidly hard.

Haven't even beaten the game and I'm bored. This game needs open world PvP. Otherwise, what the hell is the point of every gun having the same stats? It's not like you lose much when you die anyways... 180 scrip.
