TV show first thoughts

So I finally got around to the watching the first 15 minutes of the Defiance show, and I gotta say, if you thought the game was at all disappointing, what I've seen from the show makes me cringe.

I enjoy the game, even with its current quirks. But the opening of the show was horrible, and some of the slowest most boring and uninspired first 5 minutes I've ever seen.

I dont get the vision behind this alien race. They're just uglier versions of humans with wide noses? That's it? And maybe larger catlike eyes or something? Plus, really, they actually call the car a roller? a ROLLER? they didnt even call it that dumb of a name when cars were first invented.

The girl's acting when she got injured was truly atrocious, and theres no transitions just one scene, one set, next scene a different set.

Don't think I'll actually be staying tuned.

Not trying to be super negative about it, just bummed. Because the game actually got me kinda pumped about the show.

Thoughts before I get censored and this thread gets closed?

EDIT: just realized them running through the dark scary woods totally made me think of the movie Defiance. Kinda funny. He almost looks like Daniel Craig too.

I enjoyed the preview and look forward to the show. To each their own I suppose. On the roller thing, remember there has been a massive mix of alien life with human - Im sure some words had to be brought down to a simpler form for ease of communication.

however, I will say, I look forward to killing in game whatever weird beasts he shot their at the end. although the way they keeled over their when they got shot was pretty laughable. but yes indeed, to each their own. I guess this is why I never watch the SyFy channel.

Why do people fear the ban hammer so much, omg i said something negative im going to get ban'd!!!

Relax they are not so strickt about that not that i have seen so far, i liked the first episode(teaser) because it was more a story of who they are and how they got to defiance, there are alot of good effects in the show, and the acting when she got hurt alot of people suck at acting hurt, even A list actors sometimes need to rethink the scene.

For a teaser intro it was good, series will be at a higher standard i hope, but for a teaser it was good.

*sigh* I love how we're going to make awesome assumptions based on the only 15 minutes we've seen of the entire series... Yup, it's going to suck soooo much because the opening scene they tossed us wasn't loaded with either sex or violence.

Seriously. I must be getting old or something. I can't wait for the show to air. Having Bear McCreary of BSG (along with the special effects guy, can't remember his name) was a skrugging fantastic idea. The show looks and sounds great, and I can't wait for more.

I specifically stated points I thought that the production value was lacking, yet you take it to that level instead? also, note it says FIRST THOUGHTS. but I hope you enjoy the show, as well as others.

I fear it because I got a message "warning me" about posting a supposed "trolling/baiting comment" when I was simply asking a question that brought into light some fear that Trion wasn't being original. So I fear anything that's being negative about anything Trion related will then get their attention and they'll silence it like Big Brother.

I just finished watching it, and I must say that I can't wait for the show to air. I have not watched TV in a long time because of the garbage thats on it, but this show I will watch.

Treat it like I did The Walking Dead. I don't like the series. At all. People tell me that I'm stupid for not liking it and that I obviously never gave it a chance. Oh, I did. I watched the first 5 episodes and dropped it because it just didn't catch my attention.

This show does however. I've always been interested in Scifi and fantasy so this is cool for me.

i thought it was great , get over yourself
