TV show first thoughts

I totally enjoyed it, and after watching the making of Defiance I'm pretty jazzed. I was damn critical of the show when the first announced it, but what I have seen so far is promising...most everyone I know feels the same way, you may think it sucks OP that doesn't mean it won't be hella successful.

I was just pleased the actors didn't sound forced whenever they tried to swear in an Alien Language. I died a little inside every time I heard the voice actor in-game say Shtako

Of course we all want it to be utter crap, otherwise it will be cancelled after a handful of episodes because that is how TV shows work.

I really enjoyed the first 15 minutes and I am looking forwards to the show. Its been a long time since syfy had a good, heavy hitting decent science fiction show to carry and tote about proudly. Stargate has kind of been ground into dust, star trek is old news and battlestar is now getting repetitive.

Its refreshing, its interesting and i look forwards to seeing how it all pans out. Plus i quite liked the fact it was mostly drama, set up and actual emotional writing instead of 'ACTION ACTION ACTION'

90% of the science fiction that comes out on TV or the movies is crap, why should this be any different? Consumers are more likely to be impressed with graphics and **** than they are with story and immersion.

This is a low budget, B grade SyFy production. If we're very lucky we'll get something that approaches Stargate or Farscape in quality of writing, production and acting.

That being said, I'm still looking forward to it.

I just finished watching it, and I must say that I can't wait for the show to air. I have not watched TV in a long time because of the garbage thats on it, but this show I will watch.



Treat it like I did The Walking Dead. I don't like the series. At all. People tell me that I'm stupid for not liking it and that I obviously never gave it a chance. Oh, I did. I watched the first 5 episodes and dropped it because it just didn't catch my attention.

This show does however. I've always been interested in Scifi and fantasy so this is cool for me.

i wish i could see a higher resolution version. i liked what I saw. the singing almost seemed more like mimicry. for the first few minutes i wasn't even sure if she could speak english at all. was certainly interesting. I hope what i did see was either really low res or an early release though, some of the effects didn't look right, then again, syfy.

Have seen the 85 minute log pilot episode.

Its *bleeping* awesome!

No fan will be disappointed that's for sure.
