Very good ideas. This game needs to develop into more of an MMO.

Yes, I definitely get what you're saying. The fact that there are no locked in classes means someone can more easily solo without the help of a specific class, like say a healer/tank. That's the flaw of this lock-less classes, it doesn't encourage grouping up. There definitely needs to be more incentives to grouping up and team play.
In-game character name: ''Kurono Miyuki'', The red-ish Irathient.
These are all the worst ideas and archaic mmo traits. I don't want to be forced into raiding where I have to listen to some jerk command the raid force. Creating would be nice but dedicated crafting professions is draconian. Go play wow.
i agree with you i stopped playing wow coz of the fact they was forcing me to do dailys in order to get 1st lot of epic gear with out raiding and yes why shud you be forced to listn to some jerk who "THINKS" he knows what hes on about but really dose not and rages coz your doing 1 dps less then he is on a addon that has been proven to be rather not accurate if you whant raids boss loots that are rolled for like some guy seid on anotha post then yes by all means go play wow at the end of the day Trion have seid in a video this is a 3rd person shooter before an mmo. if im not mistaken.
Sniper: You can run but you will just die tired
Both of you guys are completely missing the point (and I don't appreciate aggressive hostility, especially when it is accompanied by a jumbled mess of barely legible sentences). Trion has said again and again, many times, that Defiance is an MMO. Yet it is lacking many of the trappings that make MMOs appealing. I say "Raid/Dungeon" and you imagine I am harping on the game play. I am not. The run-and-gun mechanics are wonderful and I don't want them to change. What I do want is a reason to be playing an MMO, not a single player shooter. But perhaps the word "Raid" is misleading. So let's replace that with "Group-Focused Missions". The point of these is not getting the best loot, but instead joining forces to engage in awesome battles and reach common goals. In fact, player co-operation/interaction is the goal of most of these suggestions. Hub cities, mailboxes, crafting, auctions and trade. These mechanics are not "archaic" and exist in MMOs for a good reason. They encourage inter-connectivity and socialization, and are the bedrock for any successful MMO community.
If the focus isn't going to be loot heavy (which is fine, I never liked obsessing over my numbers in minute detail) then Trion needs to bolster the social aspects of its game or the community will begin to stagnate.
Amazing ideas! I know they already stated the game is a shooter first and an MMO second but it seems they kinda neglected entirely... Broken PvP, broken chat function, arkfall loot off until only recently, no hubs as of yet, no crafting system and very limited instancing/no 'group-focused missions'. Oh and agreed, some side activities would be nice too. <<
And I think if they do take the non-loot heavy route, they at least give us more customization.
Honestly I hate this thread alot. Reason being it's a thread with the repeated ideas that everyone keeps saying. These aren't original ideas, they are just taken from other games, almost every one of them. Also these have been said almost hundreds of times. The best suggestions are the original ones, no one wants to hear everything they've already heard 100 times mashed up into 1 thread. Just my 2 cents. These aren't suggestions, all rips. No original real ideas.
Thank you, -Slay
