depends on that platform your friends are playing...if they're aren't playing i say PC hands down(depending if your PC can hold it). I'm ps3, but i know PC will have less lag because its use to hold so many ppl

Guess I was a little off but here's a quote from pc gamer: "49% of attendees are making their next game for PC and Mac while just 11% said they were developing games for PS4 and the next Xbox."
Here are the statistic's:

Here are the top 50 PC exclusives for 2013 alone:

Also PC has so many more game titles considering we can still play Dos games from the 80's if we wanted to plus like I said there are so many PC exclusives that come out ever year considering its so much cheaper to build on the pc. You don't have to pay royalties to put your game on pc like you do for the console. Which is also why alot of pc games when they come out only cost $15 to $30 and most AAA games cost $50 where as on console most cost $60. A pc is also an open source platform that you can do whatever you want unlike consoles where you would have to jailbreak or chip it.
Fair play but why are we even considering the next gen console since Defiance is on the current generation of consoles?
Its well known that developers only ever develop their games on one platform, be it PS3 PC or XBOX, granted PC developed games that are ported to console work well (Usually) but console to PC seem to flop (Dark Souls for example) Porting a game cross platform is almost always done by a sub contracted porting team too. So just because they are only developing for a specific platform right now its not to say it wont eventually span all platforms.
Anyway this is by the by, I'm a vet PC gamer and only in recent years have I moved to console for mostly life reason (Kids, work, less time to game etc) so regardless of what our opinion is on the matter the best platform for games is ultimately down to each gamer and what they want from it, retrospectively we are very both opinionated and protective of our platforms so we'll just leave it at that ;P

Even though defiance is on current gen they still might make it for next gen too like some people have hoped for since there is no official word that they wont. And I do agree ports suck whether it's pc to console or console to pc but that's the plus to next gen, There going to use x86 CPU's instead of the cell cpu's so it will be relativity easy to port which is why there going to start making PC the flagship platform to develop on mainly because it's easier to make a high quality graphics and shrink it instead of making and game and having to replace everything with better quality stuff.
Hopefully the consoles will be backword compatible. Then there won't be an issue, but to make more money they probably won't do that. Though it should be to hard to "upgrade" the client to the new gen.
Another reason for the PC version.
not to jump in between rath and rogan's "who's better" contest, but i have to take rath's side on a number of things.
1- PC is not "marginally" better than consoles. consoles are what, 10 years old now? xbox runs a what, dual, maybe a quad core type processor? my pc is running an 8 core @ 4 ghz, and that wasnt even the best thing on the market. my graphics card is a gtx 550 ti, and it blows the graphics of most xbox games i've played out of the water, and its basically an entry level gaming graphics card.
2- PC can do as much and more than a console, and at once. surf the web for example. while consoles have recently been able to do so in some capacity, my PC can have many open tabs, run music, games, ventrillo + teamspeak and many other programs all at once. the multi tasking ability of a PC far outweighs a console.
console while able to surf the web and talk to friends at once, i dont believe can also play music, know for sure cant run games in the background, and while i am uncertain, dont think they can run multiple tabs/ internet exploring programs (firefox, chrome, IE, etc.)
on top of which, PC gets as many games as consoles, if not more. some games are exclusive to one console, and i understand that, and that may be a factor in getting that console, but there are TONS of PC exclusive games as well.
of course that is not to say consoles dont have their own good sides over PC, such as simplicity (no constant upgrades) and cost (my xbox was $200, PC was $800). so what is right for each person differs based on their income, gaming intensity/frequency, etc.
however, on topic. OP should get the game for the system he/she has most friends playing on. Defiance looks as if the graphics and everything were standardized across all platforms, so it shouldnt make too big of a difference.
Live as you want, life is only a moment in time, don't waste it.
I pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition for Xbox 360. I am thinking the next Xbox will be backward compatible but we will see when E3 arrives.![]()
I'm a console gamer, its a life style choice :P

I grew up playing Console games but I did my fair share playing PC games. Anyone remember the Forgotten Realms Secret of the Silver blades & Pool of Darkness. I think I had a Pentium 75 at the time :P
I just prefer playing on console and a lot of my work I do is on my PC of course.
They're doing a presser on April 26 where they may officially announce the console, which I'm hoping will be backwards compatible as well.If it's not I may switch to PS4.
I'm more annoyed that AC4 is scheduled for Oct 29. Consoles need to get released before then IMO.
