Random Pop Up missions worth your time?

Hey guys, I wanted to know if the loot, xp, salvage, etc. is worth actually completing the random pop up missions. These are the missions that come up randomly when you run into a location.

So far if I see a fellow ark hunter doing the mission I get out of my vehicle and help out, otherwise I just drive on by.

For those with more experience let me know if they are worth it.

They're the fastest way to get keys but other than that, no.

What Anim says, you get keys from them, and alot. Also I like the farmer mission where the raiders attack a farm. Its pretty fun. Did it like 4 times now xD Never gets old and gets you some nice keys 3-5 I think.

Also even the smaller "Pop-up" missions gets you the same amount of keys. Probably gets nerfed so get those keys while they are still there.

They used to be when the mini bosses gave drops, now that they're nerfed, I usually skip them unless I see someone else doing them.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

If you're talking about the random dynamic content, yes I enjoy them, a lot. In fact, I highly recommended doing them as often as you can, as you will "sometimes" get keycodes from doing them. They're also a good source of scrip if you're always breaking down your items into resources instead.

I wish every MMO had these kind of things TBH, and is the sole reason I bought the game. They act as filler, that can be done an infinite amount of times, even though they are generic. The thing is, no matter how much content Trion adds (or any company), no matter HOW frequently, there will ALWAYS, ALWAYS be people who will blaze through all the content in an unreasonable amount of time, and then complain that they have nothing left to do. Even if you do take your time, playing diligently, chances are at one point or another, you're going to catch up and finish all the content before Trion can add it in. Think of them as mini-content that will bide your time in between content updates. They're generic, and defiantly need working on yes, but I don't exactly see us in a gaming age where developers can work 24/7 magically conjuring up unique random events on the spot. It's supposed to be infinite and random, so you can't expect miracles. But I'd rather take scripted dynamic events than grinding on enemies that roam around the world. It's the same thing sure, but at least there's some context to it.

The keycodes are nice as is the xp. One aspect of the game that everyone is overlooking at the moment is that xp is going to account for over half of you eventual EGO rating. So if you are thinking long term, yes the random events are very useful. (Pursuits are less than 25% of the total EGO available in the game, where xp is over 50%)

I do em all the time unless I'm doing a quest with a clan mate or going to an arkfall. Especially in san fran since they are the best way to get daily contract kills apart from doing the rampages over and over again. They give really nice xp and usually are almost done as people who die on them rarely come back. Many a time I've stumbled onto one, killed 1 mob and gotten 3k xp and keys.

Thank you for the responds! I never knew you got keys from them, by the time I look down at the bottom of my screen everything is already faded.

Is there a setting where your in game pop ups last longer?

Also I've been playing for couple of days now, one, maybe two hours a day if I have time I was wondering if there is a in game time counter like steam where it tracks how many hours you've spent playing.

The info has been really helpful I believe I will get off my ATV more often now

When i'm driving from A to B, i try to pick up all those missions i come across. Be it helping out 2 captures guys, or disable 3 radars, all for a bit of cash and a good feeling.

Though sometimes you get the popup (clear out the nest), but there is nothing to be seen. Would be nice if they put pointers there too, just like the yellow-dot NPC's or diamond-shaped objectives.
