you are somewhat required to run a pocket shotgun at least in 6v6 and 8v8 simply because of the map layout. Not so much skill less, just bad player choice, I streamed one game after a viewer asked to see pvp and pulled a 14-0 on waterfront with a shotgun/blur/melee set up (So Basically the most gay set up I could run).

Not trying to claim superiority here, but shadow wars are much more fun then their smaller arena counterparts.

If shotguns are killing you enough to the point to where you have to make a thread about it then maybe you should just try and switch up your tactics? Try and stay far away with an assault rifle or an LMG and counter them? I'm not trying to be a di ck or anything but I too was also annoyed with shotguns for about a half hour but then I just used different tactics and that was the end of that. Just be glad guided rocket launchers don't kill people in one clip anymore.

yup yup. i stayed away from it up untill the nevel i am currently.. jsut because there is LITTERALY nothing to do... doing arkfalls gets boreing.. doing instances is boring.. blah blah blah lol id love to do shadow wars just because you dont get anyone with shotguns and if you do.. well.. their not around for long.. lol

If shotguns take absolutely no skill, then how come everyone doesn't just break even?

Sawed off shotguns are annoying. They're one shot. But even they have a viable strategy to beat them. "Oh look, a guy is running at me with a shotgun. Let's move away from him, and shoot him before he gets close. Oh, he's dead? Cool."

I've lost count of how many times I've been using a shotgun in PVP and the guy with the assault rifle runs straight at me to try and kill me.

I was rocking shotguns at first..

But then I learned to tumble... and I learned about SMG's..

Well guess what.. by the time he gets close enough to hit me with one of those shots, he's dead.
If he does get close enough and you start tumbling.. he's probably going to miss.

If you're consistently running into the thick of the battle, that's your problem.. that's where the shotguns will be. The maps are decently small... but you still have room to move and set up shop somewhere.

I still use shotguns occasionally, but I have to get me one of those infector guns... gawd dayum those things are deadly.
