    Drop the awful combat music.

It just doesn't fit in with the style--

I watched the trailer 2 just now and the American West soundtrack fits the style like a glove. I really think the atmosphere of the game would be improved immeasurably with a stronger western theme to the music, I know we have a bit on the title screen, but some in game would be fantastic. You can turn combat music off if you don't like it. I highly enjoy when the combat music is pumping while I'm vendoring items.

I too go to SF all the time to get the music going, and just afk listening to it. So enjoyable!

My problem with the combat music is that once it starts it doesn't ever seem to want to stop, whether I'm in combat or not and it just gradually drives me nuts. So I've turned it off altogether.

I like the idea of combat music, but I just think it isn't right for the game being some kind of electronic metal.

You guys should appreciate that you even have combat music, console version is complete silence and its really lame. So bad they sell you a soundtrack to the game and it doesn't even have any music playing in it.

I was just going to post 'what combat music'?

Hmm when will the console get this? I really think the game needs something like this.

Well, clearly the music was a bit of an afterthought. The fact that it doesn't even play on consoles is pretty telling, although I didn't know that until reading this thread.

There are some games where I just turn off the game music and throw up Winamp in the background. This is definitely one of those games.

In any event, I would love to see some new/improved combat music (and a fix to the looping), definitely helps with the immersion factor, but it's whatever. I don't have a problem with just playing my own at the end of the day.

I don't feel like we hear the music enough. I love the soundtrack cd, but I don't feel like I hear it enough in game.
I totally wrote the first Defiance filk:

Also, I used to recruit for the Anarcho-Syndicalist Revolutionary Union <ASRU Ark Hunters> (on 360 NA), but no one was interested, and I don't know if I'll ever bother playing again.

I quite like the music, to the point I regularly listen to the Soundtrack I like that every enemy group has their own theme tune in a slightly different style, so Raiders get a far harder, faster paced sound than the likes of the 99ers who have twangs of a more western-style, or the Hellbugs who have quite rough sound with lots of strings.

I have to admit I don't notice it as much in game though.
