Thread: Apology please!

    Apology please!

    Honestly,

I just want Trion and whomever help with developing Defiance to apologize and say, "Hey, look, we really dropped the ball on this one and rushed the release to make the show premiere deadline".

Is that so hard to ask? Just apologize FOR the Defiance community, apologize FOR the money we worked hard for and spent it/invested in your creation. We are essentially paying you to give us something that was never delivered.

    Thanks for nothing...

Um I'm pretty sure there was other reasons behind meeting the date.

Good luck getting the game developers to give you their apologies for releasing their game in this condition. Sad truth is that it's better than a lot of the other MMO's out there on the first day.

Every MMO has issues at launch, and very few companies respond as quickly or interact with the community as well as Trion have since the game's launch. There's free content planned, as well a colossal patch that has probably been in the works since before the game even went gold. Cry and moan all you want, but don't go demanding an apology where one isn't owed. If you hate the game that much, then please, by all means, sod right off, we need less negativity in this community, not more.

What else was supposed to be delivered ?
Massive games like this one without bugs or tweaks to make don't exist.
Everyone* knows a game that has a specific deadline to go out is never finished in time and is being polished even after launch.
Trion never lied on anything they put in the game, some parts may be real sh!t (ui/pvp/consolePortDesign). They said it's a shooter in a MMO world with a serie crossmedia , I think it is what we got, just not as good as we imagined perhaps.
The interactions with the series, i'm still waiting to experience it to judge.

You are right to demand to have the best game you could, but wrong in trying to shame people who are working hard with many huge obstacles (deadline/multiports/mmo problems/shooter problems/series interactions yet to be discovered)

To me, they have made a dangerous step in innovation and may have not landed on the plank properly, they are now on the edge. Will they slip or not may be up to their capacity to respond fast and good with people's demands.

Look back in the old days we had to put up with bugs and glitches and they never got fixed so maybe don't you think you should say thank you ? for fixing bugs and glitches at the end of the day they are putting there hard work in for you to enjoy your game they don't have to do it no gaming company has to. They do it to make there customers happy. Also no game will ever be perfect

    Well said.

So let me get this straight...

    I should accept a video game I can't play?

Who distributed a video game for 59.99 unfinished?

Wait, so when I was in line at Gamestop I should have asked the employee/cashier if I am purchasing the finished product?

Next time I visit Best Buy I should purchase a TV that doesn't really work - right? they have it displayed as new and unopened.

Do none of you understand where I am coming from? I DO understand most game releases need minor tweaking/updates.

If I buy a new phone out of box and It can't make a phone call... should I say "Well, Android is coming out with an update soon so maybe I shouldn't return it or get my money back"? I mean listen to yourselves.

When did all of us "accept" this? How is this acceptable and I am DEFINITELY not the only one having these problems. This NON working "finished" product has screwed users out of a lot of money.

Not entirely convinced you've been reading the blogs then,,, they seem pretty frank, honest and apologetic about certain issues...

I have NEVER seen a team of dev's be as on it as this lot are,,, give them some space they'll have everything sorted soon
