Mixed emotions.... Don't know what to think of the game.

I still can't tell if i like this game. At all! It leaves me dissatisfied but the pvp is probably the only fun thing i could see myself playing maybe an hour of per day.

Also I have to ALT+F4 to get out of the game because the game menu is just down right ******ed and i spent over 5-10min trying to figure out where the exit game button was.

I personally see it going 100% f2b/f2p in the next few months (They probably see that too so they put the cash shop in it) It gives me the feel of a cash grab (like a Zombie game which recently came out which i will not name.) And like every f2p shooter that's out there.

What are your favorite things about this game? and what do you dislike about it? I'm curious if this is just me or if a lot of people are feeling the same way.

This game doesn't rely on you to use the cash shop which is why I admire it so. Most games kinda force you to use the cash shop to just unlock things. It is kinda devious! As for quitting? Hit Esc and go up to the top right to exit or top left to log out.

I for one, love the game
the only thing that bothers me even slightly
is the fairly rare disconnect (i'm running 20 MBps Cable)
during an arkfall or co-op even shadow war
you lose all exp and loot you might have gained.
I'm sure this will be fixed soon enough though (the 15th)

A B2P MMO going F2P? they are essentially the same. The only difference is that is that in B2P you pay for client and in F2P you don't.

Going F2P from B2P makes zero sense.

Hopefully! I get those too! Maybe i'll hold out until after the 15th to write this game off. Maybe they'll do some major bug fixes.

Tom Clancy: Future Soldier, Arma II, as an example. and various others have gone free to play. I understand where you're coming from Technodude, but this game is far from an mmo. there's almost no player interaction in this game. other than a few people that jump in during arch falls. I feel like i'm playing a Co-op game, not an Mmo.

An mmo would have player interaction like WoW, Rift, and EvE online. Being from a company that started out with one they automatically start with high expectations of their products when they label it a said "mmo" this has shown me no MMO experience. Just really dumb AI and a ton of twitch shooting.

IMO, it's still a tad early to write the game off.
I don't PvP, and I average about 2 hours a day in game. I still have a lot of missions to do, and map to explore.
I get frustrated at getting killed as often as I do, but I stick with it, and chug on.

I have yet to do any co-op missions, which I may start shortly as well.

Plus, they are supposedly adding more "Episode missions" after the 15th. I think they will change after each episode of the show airs. Plus, there is supposedly 3 to 5 DLCs coming out this year alone.

IMO, just step away for a few weeks and come back. The majority of the issues should be ironed out by then.

there are 5 major DLC releases at minimum, which contain a mix of free and paid content, as well as mission updates as the show airs.

my problem though, is the supposed DLC, doesn't seem to be DLC in the same sense were used to. They may add some extra exclusive DLC missions, but they still said they're updating the game for everyone to play, since it's a persistent world. And most of the stuff they detailed out for the first DLC is just a new vehicle, a new hat, a few new guns, maybe a new outfit. So it's all the same stuff now that we can pay for (essentially). They're just spoonfeeding more of it to us over time. It doesn't necessarily mean new PLAYABLE content. Just more content.

I personally am interested to see just how much content they release after each episode. If it's a pittance, then you'll play for an hour between episodes to do the single mission. But if it's lots of new content (as there's quite a large unexplorable map left for us currently) then I will stick around. Otherwise in about 2 weeks the new dead island game comes out. Which ironically, I feel is more of a playable MMO (even though it's not) than this. There still is more social interaction and tons of loot and player progression and such. But still, it's just an online buddy shooter anyway. But at least I feel like there's more buddies. Anyway, enough of that.

I'm expecting it will be similar to my experiences with LOTRO. The DLC packages would be a new area (free for all to explore) but the missions would be restricted to purchasers, as well as the additional items like race, guns, etc. I'm basing this on their use of the word "segregation" in the interviews. All players should be able to tour through the new areas, and participate in the arkfalls.

As for the episode missions, I really don't expect them to be more than 1-2 missions, each week. Might be a bigger one every few weeks, and the season finale will result in "changes in geography". Season 2 should be taking place in vegas, don't know if that's the show or the game though.

    things to look forward to
