I love shooters and I love MMO's, but mini-games give you that chance to relax and socialize but still within the game world.
What mini-games do you think would be really nice to put in the game?
I'm guessing something non-shooter, just because its meant to be something that is used while out of action. Something that allows us to switch off and socialise without actually leaving the game.
List ideas below.
Card/Gambling games: Poker/Rummy/Liars Dice/Roulette etc
8-Bit games: Found within the aftermath of everything thats happened, finding old 8/16bit games that could be played and leaderboards etc.
Fishing.
Crafting: I rellyhope this comes into the game in some variation.
Tower Defence: A little over the top, 16 bit view of different areas withni the game and directing certain pieces around.
Racing: I'd love an actual racing part of the mmo, not just see who is faster.
Diplomecy: This was great in vanguard, it would keep you on the game as it was something different.
An angry birds type game where you are given certain types of weaponry with limited ammo and must destroy a base/kill enemies and get as many points as possible.
Mini-games and gambling also help with the in-game economy as people will play more and kill more to get the money required to play the mini-games, or more for the gambling side anyway.
Also, look at other MMO's and other games and just post fun minigames you've played before, and we could think of a fun defiance-based twist to it.
