Industry standard? You're kidding with this right? There are plenty of games where the server farms for the game are located in only one or a few time zones. While you may be used to playing the few games where this isn't an issue I can assure you most games still suffer with this.
My point still stands regardless. No matter what time a server comes down for any game it'll be inconvenient enough for someone to whine about it.
Many of my friends are from AU and this is why I am a strong advocate for removing the region lock. The point of saying 'industry standard' means that when gaming from AU and connecting to a US server they understand that the scheduling of events and maintenance, etc., will be localized for where the servers are housed (i.e. in the US). If I connected to a server in Japan from the US I would expect that the servers schedule such taks around the local time in Japan, not the US. I fail to see how this is not an industry standard as every major gaming company uses these rules.
Because they're quick 15-30 minute updates.
The quicker they can deploy the fixes, the better.
Jeez.
Who really cares what time they do it. At least they are fixing the game and not just leaving it.
Obviously you don't play this game late at night, because they do update the game at 3am Central.
He is correct... Why do you think episode 2 was fixed randomly yesterday?(the capture and hold was changed to win a TDM) As in they shut down the server and did a 1.011 patch if you took the time to read. Patch 1.010 is what they are correcting. They have a night time working slowly to correct everything. Everyone is underestimating Trion.
