This system is flawed and there is no legitimate defense for it.
As a game designer how would you provide an alternative solution to the current system if you fundamentally understand how it works?

If you modd'd out Ego weapon of 110 was as good as someone's 3420 ego weapon then whats the point to leveling your ego score?

The weapons are there to both increase your ego score and your proficiencies. At the same time keep you looking for other weapon types to use and play around with.

    Builds game depth imo.

So what is your solution and how it would fit with the Ego point and proficiencies system? Im curious. You bring up your point but dont provide any alternatives.

PS. i didn't read through all the pages so if you provided an alternative im sure i'll come across it as i read.

Add a -90% weapon skill exp "bonus" to the weapon when it levels up.

    This does 2 things...

    1) Let's people know what the **** is going on.
    2) Still allows you to gain something while you try and get another weapon.

i think the easiest thing to do would be for the devs to implement the reset system they talked about. you can reset the weapon in the matrix. i can accept that.

ok just finshed the 5 pages and never saw a provided alternative.

Im pro for the system in place.

    Why?

Because the level 60 AR which is a burst AR with Fire can easily be replaced by another AR, with burst, and Fire. Ontop of that, i can move the mods i put in my older AR right into my newer AR.

Whats the difference between the guns?

The older is maxed and has a SLIGHT bonus for me putting my time and effort into leveling it.

The new doesn't have the slight bonus but by using the new one im increasing my overall bonus.

    Which is better?

Sticking to the old and or going with the new and upgrades?

There is nothing your loosing by just replacing your old maxed out weapons with new ones that are equivalent.

So im liking the system. I just sell or break down my oldies unless i keep them for sentimental reasons. IE mission reward weapons that are special.
