The only difference Im seeing in the stats between the red one and the orange one I bought from a hidden vendor is the damage it can inflict. That's about it.

One of the selling features for the pre-order was 'fastest' vehicle currently in the game. While I'm sure some DLC with faster will come out, a lot of pre-orders would be pretty pissed if they found out that the fastest car they were offered wasn't. So that would likely be the #1 reason the black one is slightly slower.

Which is not true. My Orange Dodge Challenger has better stats then the Red pre-order one.

It took more than 4 days before I finally got my pre-order items, so I already got the Orange Dodge ingame as I was tired of waiting for the pre-order items to arrive. Only to find out that my red pre-order Dodge is useless now.

Paid for it? Pre-ordering costs nothing extra. I have both of the Challengers, so I think that gives me an opportunity to bring up my opinion on a free vehicle VS one I had to work for.

As Galkay pointed out you basically paid NOTHING extra for a free item that you've CHOSEN not to use. Sure it sucks you had to wait 4 days but I wouldn't be -that- upset about it.

Frankly they should all be the same stat-wise. If the people who preordered still want to feel "special" about it the fact that they have a unique red one should be enough.

Make sure you are checking the name of your Challenger!
