I doubt they're going to announce who the winners are. There would be tons of people blowing up their inbox here and messaging them in game trying to get them to sell their stuff.

A simple announcement that winners have been determined and contacted would be nice though

I don't think announcing who the winners are would be that much of a problem. I and I know a few others that have just about everything under the sun which you can easily find that out through time, or inspection, and yet i don't think any of us are bugged that much for are stuff.
