Defiance PvP?

I would love to partake in writing some paragraphs. But I haven't played the Alpha/Beta.

yes sometimes it got bad enough i straight gave up on what i was doing went to the nearest town and loged of. or went somewhere completly different. also difference is tho wow had factions. i know i had allies at times, even if i didnt know them. defiance has no factions.

Eve is a much better analogy then wow, you couldnt trust anyone. and unless there in your corp (even then there was still trouble) it was all out war.

for defiance to introduce this whole ethos of constant faction warfare, it wouldnt fit into the lore. and to boot they have to think of the TV show, they cant just add these things as easy (lore wise). Also on top of that they have to maintain the constant story that mirrors the tv show, as well as all manor of other things. then to have to introduce factions. wouldnt work in Defiance world.

you dont and factions we already have an excuse to have open world pvp in the lore.. we're all scavengers/ark hunters.. trying to salvage items and hopefully get the big bucks or whatnot... so i i have to put a bullet in someone head to get to an item before he/she does sounds very much part of my lore/job description

not enough to declare open war on each other. there is a working military who would step in.

this is why the factions commit to the shadow war. they fight over resources but not in the open. in the shadows. because they will get crucified

Even cities in post apocalyptic settings have an established law though. That doesn't mean the sheriff is upholding a law established/enforced on a larger scale than the city/citzens of the city expect.

Has it been established that the existing military precides globally, I thought there was a declared Earth Forces territory in the NE US, and their reason for going to the Bay area was the Arkfall tech, at Von Bach's pressuring. Otherwise the area is undeclared territory.

1 on 1 im sure doesnt matter, im not saying its all cousy with law everywhere. it will be wild west style. but as soon as factions started waring the military would step in and break it up. thats why you couldnt have faction's. not why you couldnt have pvp..

EDIT: corrections about shadow war, its not factions fighting its all run by a merc group known as the echelon. who fight to sides to basically fill there ranks.

factions are just greedy corps. it just would not fit into the lore.

yes it has, its called the Earth Republic which is made up of what used to the UN. basically we know when the aliens invaded, the earth united (more or less) and fought back. which is why we held them off, and the planet got screwed in the process.

theres alot of problems in the world. the factions mostly are out for profit. like modern day corperations. anything bad (most people know) but is still offically kept in the shadows.

No offense but could you define the emphasized word. After reading your entire statement I was unable to determine the definition of the word.

None taken. The word has different meanings to different people but to me it means the people that kill other players that they vastly outgear, outlevel or both to the point that the victim has no chance at turning the tables and winning the fight. I've been playing MMOs and more specifically PvP in MMOs since Ruins of Kunark in EQ1 and in my experience these players are generally not very good at all to the point they cannot compete with those equal to them in gear/levels so they choose to attack those that are helpless against them.
