    Any gym-goers lurking about?

Was wondering if there are many people on these forums that also enjoy a good old gym sess, i've been training seriously for the past year and half and am looking to be a personal trainer after Uni.

Also have been boxing for about a year on top of thai kick-boxing, great cardio right there, found I can burn anywhere upto 700-800 calories in an hour of conditioning/boxing. Always ramp it up ontop of LISS training in cutting seasons.

Was looking to discuss other gym-goers 'stats' and such, and inspirations etc, hell even if you go for the occasional jog your welcome !

Also if anyone wants advice, we can help! I was thinking about talking Gym stuff on commentaries with Defiance, not all of the commentaries but maybe a weekly gym sess talk commentary? Haha.

I just started going after 2 years of inactivity due to some medical drama....Just doing some "power walking" on the treadmill, I tried the elliptical but thought I was having a heart attack so I thought I should start slowly. Going to try to get into some sort of full body routine starting in May.

Ahh nice man! Yeah try LISS cardio (Low Intensity Steady State) It's grate for your heart mate, just on an incline and walk for about 40ish minutes.

As for the full body, do you mean weights? Or full body cardio stuff, such as burpees and ski sits push ups etc?

weight Thrower here. Took a nice long break for about 6 months but have been back at it the last month, trying to get back up to my 180, 10 pounds left to go!! Mainly into weight training because the Military keeps my cardio up and Military combatives keep me thirsty for keeping my strength and endurance up. Big fan of the Arms assualts and trying to give my abs the kick in the *** they need.

I am currently doing it to lose weight and gain strength. A neat site for tracking your workouts is www.fitocracy.com . The community there is pretty rad as well.

I mean...I guess cardio/weight loss...I don't want to bulk up, just tone up...but I can't do much heavy lifting bc of my 6 time surgically repaired abdomen lol

I want to get more into strength training. I've got a treadmill but quickly grow tired of cardio, I get more than enough of that at work. I'm planning on picking up a gym membership shortly and just doing the basics for a few weeks before getting into the stuff I really want to learn, such as deadlifts.

Sorry I don't have any stats or anything (at least not yet) but I'll keep an eye on the thread and post when I do.
