Console Beta realease date

your going to get all your progress wiped out i asked in the FAQ, but it'll be cool to play

that something i want to be honest . beta should not carry over to real game but i know a few friend who will be mad xD

this isnt the first source to suggest this, we had a german dev mention it, and another site claim that date too.

would be nice still for the CM's to offically annouce it now the cats been let out the bag. or at least rebuke these so people dont get there hopes up if its not right.

as for the beta, its mostly about stress testing the servers to make sure they can take load capicty then it is to find bugs/balance. there will be that, but its not a major concern for the beta weekends. unless game breaking bug is found.

It would be nice for an official announcement, I honestly don't see the harm in giving us a date, it's starting to get old watching the streams and hoping and them literally acting like its no big deal, I don't know I mean I love the CMs but one can only wait so long before we're like whatever

so german SYFY website, amazon and now best buy all claiming the same date for the next beta. either they are all operating off the same false info or its gonna be the 15th-17th.

why havent they announced? lack of confidence in the beta client/server build, might want another week or they think they might be able to run the next beta over the 8th-10th weekend. or they just want to drag it out!! (fist shake)

Amazon.co.uk had the console beta dates as 15-17th of March too, but removed them very quickly. Maybe they released the info too quickly? Either way this seems to confirm that Trion are aiming for those dates but are holding back confirmation until they're absolutely sure.

because corporate PR sucks.... Best Buy had the June listed for "The Last of US" when it got delay yet Naught Dog kept saying "there is no official word on a delay etc etc" then 1-2 weeks later Naught Dog announced that the game had been delayed and the new release date was the exact date Best Buy had already had listed for June.


I dont understand why PR does stuff like that.. if they told Best Buy 1-2 weeks ago why cant they confirm it with us the same time we find out instead of telling us "that isnt official" only to make it "official" 1-2 weeks later?

I would laugh if Trion Worlds decided to release the beta earlier.

/I hope they do because 2 weeks doesn't seem like ample time to fix some of the bigger bugs.

WELL 90% of betas these days arent REAL beta if they were REAL betas then youre right 1-2 weeks wouldnt be enough time to fix things but 90% of open betas these days are just stress tests to see how much ppl the servers can handle at once and fix THAT which CAN be done in 1-2 weeks... the REAL beta testing is done during the alpha testing which is on going and does/will fix actual bugs and whatnot
