Probably only harder then the chickens because there isn't an obvious bug to exploit....

Tried watching you tube and such and everyone says to pass you need to memorize the spawns for the first 2 mins and then hope the game doesn't lag in order to get your silver or better trophy.

Why does moonshine shack bronze 2000 jump to 8000 for silver (4X!!!!!!)? I've scored endless bronze since 2000 is doable, but 8000... with hulkers, blinding dust, raiders either hidden or magically appearing behind, missile shots that can turn corners, absurd spamming of raiders when cornered to flank all options, poor shotgun response to trigger pulls, some raiders who require two or three direct hits to take a kill... This challenge is clearly designed to not be completed. I've invested at least 50 hours trying to get silver and the closest I got was 7850 which was sheer luck. My average score is around 5000. Bronze, bronze, bronze,.... shxx!!!! At least lower the silver to 7000. I would have completed it a month ago.

the idea of moonshine shack is to kill, reload, kill, reload while dancing around the building and other obstacles. Silver is very easy to get, gold sucks because there are too many rioters coming from all directions...

The odd thing about Moonshine Shack is I will fail it without leaving the area, with full health, and with my shields only partially gone... because I run out of freaking ammo!

Also it will randomly just fail you even if you have ammo, shields, health, and stay in the mission area.

I've been trying to get silver on this freaking thing for three weeks. I will have strong shields, be in the middle of the hot shot zone, and have a bullet or two in the shotgun and it still fails me. It acts like there's a timer, but i dont see one.

The highest I've gotten is 5400 and I can't imagine I will ever get the 8000 needed for silver to complete the pursuit. I am just about ready to ditch this game. Challenging I can understand, but this level of nearly impossible is ridiculous. Even with all the tips from the forums, it's taken hours and hours of constant 'try again' for me to get through even a few of the hotshots and rampages.

They should at least make the pursuits require bronze rather than this impossible silver level. My ego level is over 1000 ... I'm not a crap player... but I can't get through these damned time trials, hotshots, and rampages without tearing my hair out and wanting to fling the game disc into the garbage disposal.

Oh and while I'm venting... The time trials. My god. I spent a good hour clearing out a time trial area. I get in the car and everything re spawns exactly in the path of the time trial. The one time I was getting close to a decent time on ridgeline a friggin arkfall fell right on me, everything exploded, and then a matron popped up out of nowhere and killed me before my ego could finish saying 'get back in your veh....'. Yeah.

to be honest i found it not as hard as people make it out to be. The hardest one for me wasthe sniper one where you protect the miners.

All I had to do was lay in the cut off to the side and wait for them to materialize. Silver on my first try after that... 12,595 points actually. If anyone else on PS3 is having that problem... try that.

This is signifigantly easier if you are around 1500+ ego for obvious reasons.

Perks:

Perks that increase health/regeneration/damage taken. I did this with out the regen, which would have helped a lot more.

Perks with bonus to run speed either after shield is down or shield recharges. I used both and they saved my arse quite a bit after I was injured.

Perk scavenger. I only had mine with 2 points and it still made all the difference.

Like the rest of the game, equip your respark. Mine was epic and had the +25 regen bonus.

With those things equipped, this was a cinch. Basically run around and always kill something with each shot. Don't die.

This challenge IS ALL ABOUT GEAR/EGOS.

I just finally got gold on this. Not sure which was harder, this or the chickens. But took me an enormous amount of tries. For what its worth, I equipped perks such as Fortitude, Cellular Armor, Regeneration, and Execution. Not sure if all worked, but Regeneration definitely did.

I've been trying to get silver on this one for a week with no luck, bronze only. I tried these perks (plus scavenger) and nailed it on my first shot.

So I took your advice with scavenger and fully upgraded it and got gold on my first try. Just wanted to thank you. This Hotshot was such a pain and have given up until I saw your post. With scavenger fully upgraded you won't run out of ammo and died eventually with 72 rounds of ammo collected.

I had up to 150 ammo, but took me almost 3 hours. You also seem to earn ammo for multi kills, or chain kill.

First thing, use the scavenger perk (just one level of it needed for extra ammo drops), use any defensive perks you have and a fast recharging shield (recharge rate not %/sec). Most important thing is to not lose your multiplier so don't hide too long when your shields are recharging. I did this and got silver first try, gold second.
Side note, reservoir chickens is way harder, unless you did it when there was the glitch. I didn't and still got gold shooting the chicken on the ground then one on northeast pole that respawn. (you have to time shooting them, about 9-10 secs apart at most). Hope this helps.
