So did I miss it and was there an actual official announcement about the console beta release?

no official, but eb games website and another one is saying beta for console is march 15 to 17

Friday they did the Live Stream and gave out the PC Beta Keys. They didn't say a date when the console Beta will be out, they just said soon...

Just to straighten out the confusion, no one gets a Beta key. You get a pre-order key, which you should have had on your receipt the day you put down the deposit on the game.

The pre-order key gets you all of the pre-order goodies, one of which is a Beta invite, once you've entered the key on Trion's website. If you didn't get a pre-order key, you need to talk to the idiots at the store and get that squared away. If they stonewall you, drop a PM to Myll-Erik here and see if he can get you sorted out.

Sadly, GameStop/EB pretty much sucks, and this is one of the things we constantly have to go through with them.

Can anyone in Canada confirm that EB is participating in the pre-order bonus giveaways ?? I've checked both the Canada EB games website and Amazon.ca, neither of them mention anything about the title, skin, or beta.. They only mention the exclusive weapon you get. Our Bestbuy website hasn't even heard of the game, nor has Future shop -.- There's just no point in pre-ordering if Canada doesn't get the extra's.
