You supposedly sped through to 1000+ EGO in 15-20 hours. And then now you're complaining that you're bored and there's not enough to keep you interested.
Most people don't get to 1000+ EGO in 15-20 hours. Most people don't even get to 300 EGO in 15-20 hours.
So basically you're sped through the game really really fast and now you're complaining that there's not enough? So should Defiance cater their development towards people who go to EGO 1000+ in 15-20 hours?
sorry man but this argument is moot. it doesnt matter how much time he personally spent, because the fact is, the vast majority of players have burned through the game. there isnt much more to do, and everyone is waiting to figure out what to do. read other posts. no, not everyone will get to ego 1000 in 20 hours, but then again EGO currently doesnt mean anything. So who cares? The actual content can be blown through pretty quick. That's the problem.
edit: also, really intrigued by your user name choice. of all things, to kill a mockingbird?
The point is that you supposedly got to 1000+ EGO in 15-20 hours and now you're bored.
But who reasonably expects Trion to satisfy the needs and complaints of someone who is 1000+ EGO in supposedly 15-20 hours game time, when the game is a week old?
The vast majorty of gamers aren't doing what you're doing. But you expect Trion to cater to gamers like you?
sigh. read the forums man. it doesnt take long. most people did stuff way before me, I havent even been playing religiously. the story can be completed in ~10 hours. thats not very long. then each side mission may take 2-10 minutes. say 100-200 missions. averaging 5 minutes each, even 500 minutes = less than 10 hours.so right there is about 20 hours of content, but let's just say it takes longer and is about 25-30 hours. that's still not fantastic for an MMO. especially since a lot of the MMO folks are religious gamers who are used to spend 8+ hour days playing a game and this game was specifically saying how it is a new innovative MMO so it could cater to that crowd. So if someone like mindset blows through it, he is in fact more of an average MMO player than a typical casual xbox player. So dont get all in a huff here saying it shouldnt cater to actual gamers.
Thats what I would say but then again I could never get into it enough to really see anything mind blowing. I couldent get over how the game went from RTS to MMORPG that blew my mind lol.
P.S. I did play warcraft 3 and I know they had that RPG part with the main characters but it was still a RTS at heart.
