I'll go ahead and cover that i play on PC.
We need a better way to connect with other players. The current interface just isn't doing it. No global or regional chat? I hardly see anyone talking, if i do it's rare. The clan chat is great, but connecting with those players are shoddy at best. The phasing system is terrible from my experience thus far.
I have been really enjoying the game, but at times it feels like i'm playing a single player game.
Thoughts?
I don't think there should be regional boundaries but in some ways I honestly understand it but I personally think it would be much easier to just break the barrier -even though it would take time- so there would be more talking.
Also allow you to send messages by typing and it will show up in a little box over your head for others to read in case they don't have a mic so they can communicate as well.
Needs a global and a permanent area/local/proximity chat channel (I say permanent because... have you ever been with others in a co-op but not grouped? You cannot communicate with those players, only channel available.. clan and that is obviously if you are in a clan).
Needs to change the chat window from individual messages to a small window showing multiple messages. Needs chat tabbing to separate system/combat messages and chat messages and possibly trade messages (There is an ingame player-to-player trade feature right? What the god dam hell for? Get on it Trion). Needs all of the stated. Oh and also Personal messaging of some kind, player to player. Perhaps an ingame inbox system or a simple /whisper/tell system. Standard stuff.
No flaming my post about cross platform blahs. Platforms are platforms because they are different, you can only keep things similar to a certain degree without compromising quality.
