Okay, I just did some maths

Say you got ballsy and you fought somebody in multiplayer that was level...oh, idk, two thousand. You literally couldn't kill them if they went tank with their powers. Taking 8 powers, which I am assuming they have at level 2000 and assuming they are at least 800-1000 TRU-LEVEL (means that they filled the little bar at the bottom of the screen 80-100 times) *Check note one at the bottom when finished.

Hunker Down: Less damaged when crouched - 9% DT
Fortified Stance: Less damage when not moving - 15% DT
In the Trenches: Less damage when below the enemy - 15% DT
Crash Test Dummy: Less damage from vehicles - 60 % DT
Cellular Armor: Less damage overall - 6% DT
Detatchment: Less damage on kill for 3 seconds - 12% DT
Rear Guard: Less damage from behind - 30% DT
Thick Skinned: half damage when shield breaks for 3 seconds (CD 15 seconds) - 50% DT

*Note: assuming all perks are maxed and that Trion did not go back on their word (From IGN video) that there is no DT cap.

Under ALL circumstances: 80% DT when shield goes down and the target is crouching/not moving, immune to vehicles.

When attacked from behind by somebody who is above the tank: 125% IMMUNE TO DAMAGE EVEN IF THE ATTACKER HAS BOTH HEIGHT ADVANTAGE AND SUCKER PUNCH PERKS (combined dmg is 24% making the target 101% effective against them. I didn't count detatched into the equation) the target will be a whopping SEVENTY FIVE if the attacker continues attacking past when thick skinned ends.

When attacked from behind somebody that is the same height: 110% IMMUNE TO DAMAGE. Sucker punch will only give the attacker a five percent advantage against the tank (95% DT) and that drops down to 60% when thick skinned wears off.

When attacked by somebody in a vehicle: All bets are off, the vehicle loses every time. Even without thick skinned. From the front, the tank has a 90% DT against vehicles, from behind/above, he is immune. When his shield runs out, he is probably immune to being ran over as well. The only way to counter him is with Hell on Wheels which only improve the odds by 30%

When attacked from the front: 30% DT, or 80 when his shield goes down. Strangely, he is technically the weakest from the front, on the same playing field. You can't be above him attacking as that'll put him over at 95% (45 without TS). Chances are that unless you straight up match the guy, or can shoot backwards, you won't beat the tank.

to make it a little scarrier, I tried to do this loadout on my current character, which is EGO 982 and TRU-LEVEL is 410. I can spend 41 points to get to where I am now. I can do this uber tank set up in 37. I have Scavenger from the ego training as well so that saves me a few points. Scavenger is right next to thick skinned.

This means that when you finally get that eighth perk slot (Seventh really since I didn't account detatchment at all in my maths) you can have a super tank loadout. Not sure about you guys, but this is just a wee bit scary to me as I want to try PVP when it gets fully set up.

Note 1: Lol, I should have lowered that level a bit since you can be at 40-50 TRU-SKILL to do this

I think your too worried... Just have fun, that's what the game is for. Sure, you might find a few players like you described but I doubt everyone would run anything close to that.

PvP is a lot of fun compared to bf3 or CoD, obviously different but, still fun. ENJOY it.

I know, I did this purely out of fun and I still plan to go into PVP and screw around. I figured that the forum needed to be scared a little bit, maybe give those cloak shotgunners something to fear as well.

You definitely thought about this more than I would say Trion did but PvP is almost unplayable. People quit when they're losing and crash the server anyways.

That's what team work is for.

Communicate with them to to determine where and when this "super tank" is in play and coordinate fire for optimal damage.

    Here's more math.

A couple days ago, I asked Sledgehammer70 if there was a hardcap to how many +15inv slots you could get for any given character. His reply was as many as I want. Ok, fine. There HAS to be a programming hardcap though, there isnt enough HD space on the planet to hold an infinite number of inventory slots.

PC's are around 64-bit processing, so if that's the case the highest possible value for a positive 64-bit integer is 9,223,372,036,854,775,807, or 2^63-1, or simple 9.2x10^18 Maximum inventory slots attainable.

Attaining that many inventory slots would require you to purchase the +15 Inventory Slot item 614,891,469,123,651,720 times.

Buying 6.1x10^17 inventory slot items would require a Bits currency total of 221,360,928,884,514,619,368.

You would have to buy the 5,200 bit pack 42,569,409,400,868,196 times to reach 2.2x10^20 Bits.

    That would cost $2,128,470,470,043,409,801.62 USD.

To put that dollar amount in a little perspective, the current US National Debt is only $16,807,491,790,190.54 USD

-I'm sure there are other math nerds out there who will double check my calculations... heh

Heh, what's funny is that I bet a few of my friends could still manage to fill up most of those slots and proceed to fart around with them for 20 odd minutes at a time whenever we come across a vendor. :P
