Next Gen & defiance?

If defiance gets ported to the next gen consoles or however that's done. Will we have to start fresh? And will the community become 2 as in x360 and x720 will play separate or together? Anyone have thoughts or info. I would hate to invest so much time in a game and then buy a new console and still be playing on the older one. I was really ready for next gen now I'm not so sure

I'm sure the server will be merged with new consoles as the graphics don't decide what server your on, the network on consoles apparently does.

If you are worried, get it on PC where there will most likely be a big patch if there are differences in fidelity. Also, I doubt the profiles will transfer and you'd be extremely lucky if it's cross-platform, not to say it won't be.

I'd just buy it wherever you like and if the time comes just roll with it. I doubt the new version would come out anytime soon nor do I think it'd be so amazingly better that you'd HAVE to migrate. What I'm saying is that I don't think it'd be worth waiting for the "soon" of an Xbox 720/PS4 version, you'd had missed out of so much. Especially, when you realize you are supposed to play alongside the TV show and that would of been lost if you had waited. Waiting would ruin the experience in my opinion.

Still almost a year away, with lots of time to shoot up hellbugs and mutants before worrying about next gen. When next gen comes around we will see what Trion decides to do. If the game has a large enough following I can see them getting into the new system. As to if our characters will come with I would definitely say that they would if its a port over.
