The game already has the ability to include racing checkpoints in the form of time trials, so why not broaden that spectrum so we can have races involving a number of players all at once?
I'd suggest having it instanced similar to how PVP and CO-OP's are now

Yeah! And maybe one massive race from where you start the game to the Golden Gate bridge!
I'd love pvp racing. Would be able to see how people get the absurdly fast times too, lol.
Have to give the vehicles collision on each other too like they have in PvP, would make for interesting races.
We have clan races planned for Sunday....
Group of 4 drivers,,, passengers allowed....
1 clan member at the start at one at the finish (to decide winner),,, load the finish line into your satnav and the race begins when the starters grenade explodes at the startline (any route or vehicle allowed).... 5k scrip buyin,,, winner gets the pot

My clan forms arkfalls events most evenings and we all race there in tight formation. While it is indeed fun, with the numbers being as they are (20+) everything just gets laggy to the point where cars are teleporting. Really reduces the fun. But if it was instanced then it could be amazing!
this would be a sure winner, add it to the pvp system but have races in there, few the guys in our clan been saying that would be great :-)
