Thanks, but what about the differences between the basic green/blue item. Why would you pay more for something the same. I know the mods help but as a starting point I don't get the premise of 2 guns of different rarity and cost but with the exact same stats ( there is no synergy like you'd see on the purple tier one).

Check the arktech salvage value in the salvage matrix. Maybe the blue has higher salvage value. It occurs to me as I type this that would require you to buy both to check, defeating the purpose of this question. Maybe check to see if duplicate items of different rarity (blue/green, the next time you have dupes) have more salvage value. Good question. I am now curious.

Off the top of my head I am not sure, but once the servers are back up, I'm back from the gym, and showered I will see if I can figure that out for you. It may be something simple that you are just overlooking or something that you are completely ignorant about (not using the word as an insult.)

Seems I overlooked a glaring thing. The blue has elemental effect where as green doesn't. At double the cost the question is now wether the elemental effect is worth the extra reward.

Using a weapon without a nanoeffect is a huge mistake in my opinion. Bonus damage or other effects is so valuable that passing it up is a huge faux pas.
