People satisfied with the game will play it... perhaps post something occasionally. Those unsatisfied or with issues will make it known, most of the time by way of hissy fit threads although A small, mature minority will state the issue and not throw a tantrum.

They state the game is never ending - but if they don't change some things up, its not going to last unfortunately :/

I see the forums much like this for the launch of ANY new game. Some people like the game a lot so they are mostly playing. Some people dislike it a lot so they are busy posting.

No game is right for everyone. I've tried other games that weren't a good fit for me, so I quit playing them. I didn't bother going on official forums and telling other people how bad it was. I just moved on.

The problem I have found is.....ye there isn't that much to do, I HAVE to do the main missions because I have done everything else on the first island and I need to get to San Frans. Also there are a number of bugs in this game that stop the fun like buggy missions that require you to restart a half an hour long mission, or a hotshot that doesn't appear on my map so I can't complete the one thing that will get me a complete pursuit in marin....

Hey, you know what other games have had that said about them? Every goddamned single one. Some of them do die, but that is due to developer follies. This one is headed by a company that isn't a shade above useless so these worries are just unfounded.

For me the bottom line is that the game is fun. Yes there are a few things I would like added or changed but those things definitely don't make me want to quit the game. The season pass is supposed to be 5 DLC's so even if you've "done everything in the game" there will be more to do shortly. Can't wait for the show to come out so we can start to see how exactly the crossover between each medium is going to work.

    this game is brilliant!

and personally i just want to say a huge thank you to the guys and girls at trion for a truely engaging experience
I love the game. I would say that this amount of "hate" is common for mmos these days. Ive worked on MMO's in the past, and the community always had this bipolar atmosphere there too... Even in the most popular MMO's (or games in general these days) the cynics and "trolls" (I hate using that word) seem to always nest and rant.

I have always seen it as those who like it arent on forums as much, they are busy playing the game. I know me and my wife are damn near addicted... it is a serious problem. I actually got on just to go to a secret vendor yesterday...during a meeting.

I dont usually like shooters. Do not get me wrong ive got medal of honor, call of duty, halo, battlefield, etc across pc and consoles alike.. But i have always enjoyed sandbox games and mmos much more. My wife plays those with me, but she was always the borderlands/left4dead/callofduty player. Defiance turns out to be the first game in a while that balances that out to where we can both enjoy what we like best, and play together.

This is the first game in a long time thats allowed our tastes to come together to enjoy that game time without the enjoyment being lopsided. That is a pretty big statement, coming from our household.

The forum I use most often has a dedicated thread that is full of praise for the game. Given that it's a forum for journalists and people who work in the games industry, I have been genuinely surpried by how positive they have been towards it.

im stuck with the same hotshot- damn resistance or something like that. i think all hotshots will get taken off one at a time because of the weapons glitch people have exploited to get stupid scores on them. could be mistaken ofcourse.
