hmm, bad language but no frontal nudity!

Trion please add a language filter, and clean up some of the dialog in the story line! the kids are liking the action and watching me play, but too many random Fbombs and such makes it so i have to turn off the voice and subtitles when they are watching.

no need for language and suggestive comments from NPCs.

hate to be a butthole , but this game is rated at 18+ . therefore really its upt to you as a parent to determine whether is appropriate or not to allow your kids to watch you play , not the developer.

I have to back up Jammylambo here, the game is rated as 18+, so you should be playing it when your children are not around, especially for the language contained in the game and some of the scenes (like the first co-op with the final boss).

You can always wear a pair of headphones, if you wish to avoid them hearing what is being said ingame.

I wish they'd remove the filters from chat and the forums, too.

It's always that goofy double standard with people. Extreme violence? Absolutely fine. Vulgar language or nudity? HELL NO!

Well I won't argue whether the NPCs in this game "need" to use harsh language or suggestive comments other than to say the game's setting seems to make those things pretty likely, or at the very least completely unsurprising. Regardless I wouldn't be opposed to seeing a filter added to this game, even if I'd never use it myself.

Oddly it's a bit different in the UK imo, nobody minds some boobs on show or some swearing but extreme violence is a no go.

Something similar happened when TERA was released

This step was sadly necessary due to some changes which were introduced in the latest content update for TERA, which increased the amount of blood on certain details. Thus, we faced an issue with our current age rating which is 12+ for Europe.

Therefore, it was necessary to remove the level of detail slider for the blood aspect in TERA and set this to a fixed value. You’ll still see blood in TERA, but the amount of blood will be reduced and won’t stay on the ground. Also some minor effects like blood splatters against the screen will be replaced by another effect. Please be aware that we were already producing the box and pre-selling copies of the game with the active rating of 12+, so this was the only possible solution at this point.

We’re sorry to inform you about this now and not when the OBT patch notes were released, but the situation occurred with the latest additions to TERA and this are the reason why we needed to remove the slider for the blood factor and set it to a fixed value.

*Please note this change might not be active for some players who just used the EN client at this point, but it will be active before the release for everyone."

So scantily clad females are ok but a bit of blood on screen is bad. The EU did get a lower age rating than the US.

Just realised this might not be relevant but will post it anyway
