What do you get from boosting anyways? Get better weapons? My friend is still using his first lmg and he's past 600 ego. This game scales with you, boosting doesn't gain you anything, but leveling faster to do the same content with higher ego people and what is wrong with that?
yea, this issue was brought up on alhpa and beta alike, trying to play through the storyline with friends and then having to split up for a mission is really not fun
You realize then so is the opposition point that they should have to let people group and get carried since all the friends need to do is gift their buddy some script and be patient. If the bad or less skilled player will eventually get through anyhow then why not let them earn it? Yeah I know the good Players in the group might have to wait for them ... Or we can just take it to the next lvl and lets make the story quests skippable for a reward forfit so if the player thinks it's too hard they can complete the quest with an easy button and move on but without the rewards. Why do so many of the posters in game forums want an easy button.....
Your friend would of maxed out the xp on that first LMG a long time ago and will have to use another if he wishes to increase his general LMG rating so I don't think you know what your on about.
The story line is supposed to be challenging and I guess they don't want people racing through it and whining afterwards witch is a good thing.
There is so much in this game you can do with a group. It's not to much to ask that they at least complete one or two missions for themselves.
Well me and my friend didn't get this game to level up stats. It doesn't matter about the rating to us. I know what I am talking about, rating of a gun doesn't involve with what I am talking about.
If you don't want people racing through content then put more gates in the way. Have main missions unlocked by gaining enough rep(not all of them).
I stopped playing for a week and in that week he was able to get all the main missions, episode missions and side missions done.
What would people support more, being at a 30 ego and already across the bridge due to "go to friend" or being at a 100 ego and across the bridge legitimately who worked with a friend all the way?
Okay I see the points of both sides..... I like it both ways really. Soloing is MEANT to challenge you. Yeah group work helps sometimes, but then there's times where say a group member stands on the sidelines, while the rest of you are off doing all the work, or a mission you're both doing is almost over you get knocked out and the player just leaves you there to die and have to start the mission all over again on your own. I'm not saying grouping is horrible, but I agree with solo sometimes being necessary. Heck you have more luck getting help on stuff if you're soloing half the time. Don't always need it cause hey once you level up enough soloing gets funner.... And more amusing >_> see a fire breathing weapon on a scrapper midget that I can't remember the name of currently. It shouldn't be funny and yet it is since they try to do the same thing to you.
In a co-op contract yesterday myself and two others had run the whole gamut of the map while the fourth person was just standing around the first quarter of it doing absolutely nothing to help after the first two minor raider blitzer kills. We get to the boss fight and the person still just stands there. Obviously your whole team has to be present to enter the Boss fight so said bystander group member just wanting XP for nothing was then kicked from the group and the three of us enter final boss fight with the help of a new member that was popped into the match for us part of the way through that was actually willing to work for the points.
True there are missions that I wouldn't touch without a group sometimes, but rest of the time I solo it and lend a hand when I can.
